    What is the format of the PMP exam?

    The PMP is a closed-book exam of 180 questions delivered through Pearson VUE, either online with OnVUE proctoring or at a test centre. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions.

    How long is the PMP exam?

    You have 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete the 180 questions, including two 10-minute scheduled breaks.

    What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and does not publish a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all domains.
