Assessment

How is my learning assessed on this course?

There is no formal exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure exercises throughout the programme, where you build repositories, pipelines, IaC templates and dashboards. This applied practice, rather than a test, is how you demonstrate and cement your skills.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. This recognises your participation and the practical Azure DevOps skills you have built; it is not an external certification or accreditation.

What will I be able to do after completing the course?

You will be able to manage repositories with branch policies in Azure Repos, write multi-stage YAML pipelines, deploy to Azure App Service and AKS, provision infrastructure with Bicep, set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and add security scanning with Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

Are the exercises hands-on or theory only?

The course is deliberately hands-on. You follow along in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI as the instructor demonstrates each service, building working pipelines and infrastructure so you practise the skills rather than only hearing about them.

Is this the same as a Microsoft certification?

No. This is a vendor-neutral skills training course focused on practical delivery using Azure DevOps services, which are products of Microsoft Corporation. It is not a Microsoft exam or credential; it builds job-ready capability you can apply immediately.

What topics are covered in the Azure DevOps syllabus?

The syllabus spans six modules: DevOps and the Azure DevOps ecosystem; source control and CI with Azure Repos and Azure Pipelines; continuous delivery and release pipelines; agile planning with Azure Boards and infrastructure as code; containers with ACR, AKS and Azure Monitor; and DevSecOps, Azure Test Plans and continuous improvement.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The programme runs as a focused one-day, eight-hour course covering all six modules with concept explanations, Azure architecture context and hands-on exercises throughout. It can also be delivered as two half-days, and corporate schedules can be tailored to your team.

Does the course cover CI/CD pipelines in depth?

Yes. CI/CD is central to the course. You learn YAML pipelines end to end, from build, test and artifact publishing to multi-stage deployment with approval gates and strategies such as rolling, canary and blue-green releases across Azure environments.

Is infrastructure as code included?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code using both ARM templates and Bicep, deployed from Azure Pipelines. The course covers template structure, deployment modes, the what-if preview and reusable modules so you can provision consistent Azure environments through code.

What materials and resources do I get?

You receive structured courseware aligned to the six Azure DevOps modules, hands-on lab guidance, and reference materials to support your practice. Corporate learners can have examples tailored to their own Azure environment and delivery context.
