This PMI-RMP programme builds practical, exam-ready capability across the full risk management lifecycle. By the end, you can identify, analyse, respond to and monitor project risk with confidence, aligned to PMI's January 2022 ECO.

    Set Risk Strategy and Planning

The skills covered in PMI-RMP start here: building a risk management strategy, tailoring the risk plan, confirming risk thresholds and appetite, and establishing governance across predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate structured risk identification using brainstorming, the Delphi technique, SWOT and assumption analysis, and document clear cause-risk-effect entries in the risk register.

    Analyse and Prioritise Risk

Apply qualitative probability-impact assessment and quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value to rank risks and focus effort.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Select and execute response strategies for threats (avoid, transfer, mitigate, accept) and opportunities (exploit, share, enhance, accept), and build contingency and fallback plans with clear owners.

    Monitor and Close Risks

Track triggers, residual and secondary risks, run periodic risk reviews, report on risk exposure, and formally close risks while capturing lessons learned at project closure.

    Communicate Risk to Stakeholders

Tailor risk reporting for sponsors, governance boards and delivery teams so risk information drives timely, well-informed decisions across the portfolio.
