The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential. It validates your ability to lead teams and deliver projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. It is recognised and demanded by organisations worldwide.

PMP training suits professionals who already lead project work and want a globally recognised credential, including project managers, team leads, PMO staff, and those moving into agile or hybrid delivery roles. It is ideal for professionals in Lisbon, Porto or working remotely for international employers.

Invensis Learning is a PMI Authorized Training Partner offering PMI-aligned courseware, experienced trainers, flexible online and classroom formats, and full support for the PMI application and exam, helping you move from learning to certification with a clear path.

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Portugal?

PMP training fees in Portugal vary by format and schedule, and are available on request in euros. The training fee is separate from the PMI exam fee, which PMI bills directly. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate with the contact hours you need to apply.

Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI membership reduces the exam fee and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments across Portugal. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It is closed book and uses multiple question types, including multiple choice, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank, based on the current PMP Examination Content Outline.

What does the PMP exam cover?

The exam is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and covers project fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement. About half the content reflects agile or hybrid approaches.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all the exam content areas rather than a single target score.

Where can I take the PMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility period.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and simulator are designed to prepare you thoroughly for a first-time pass.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMP training?

The training covers project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery, agile and hybrid frameworks, business analysis and strategic alignment, and stakeholder engagement and communication, plus exam strategy and application guidance.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

You can join the training at any level, and it provides the 35 contact hours PMI requires. To sit the PMP exam you also need project leadership experience: a four-year degree with 36 months, or a secondary diploma with 60 months, of leading projects.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator, along with topic-wise quizzes, to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 180-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you study exactly the predictive, agile and hybrid content the exam tests today.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours you can use toward your PMI application.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP?

PMI offers two paths: a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months of leading projects. Both paths require 35 contact hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How do I enrol in the PMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

What training formats are available in Portugal?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised corporate group training, so professionals in Lisbon, Porto and remote roles can choose the format that fits their schedule.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
