    How long is the PMI-CP valid and how do I renew it?

    The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To renew, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can be applied toward renewal.

    What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

    The PMI-CP exam is a closed-book, computer-based test of 120 questions to be completed in 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It uses multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats, based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline.

    What domains does the exam cover and their weights?

    The exam covers four domains from the ECO: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting the centrality of contracts and claims in construction.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

    How many attempts do I get if I do not pass?

    You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from the date your application is approved. Our mock exams and practice questions are designed to help you pass first time and prepare for a retake if needed.

    Where can I take the PMI-CP exam in Puerto Rico?

    You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal after your application is approved.

    What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

    You will learn to manage the full construction contract lifecycle, handle variations and claims, engage owners, communities and regulators, align strategy, scope and schedule, control cost, risk and quality, and set up project governance and compliance, mapped to the four ECO domains.

    Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

    The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires across all three eligibility sets. Confirm with our team whether supplementary self-study is credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

    What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules?

    Before applying, you complete four self-paced PMI modules in any order, each worth 14 PDUs: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Together they award 56 PDUs applicable to renewal.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest ECO?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, so what you study matches what the exam assesses across all four construction domains.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PMI application and professional record.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

    All candidates complete the four prerequisite modules, then meet one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience; a bachelor's degree with 36 months; or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months. Each set also needs 35 contact hours of PM education.

    Is the PMP required before the PMI-CP?

    No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education, though many professionals hold both because they complement each other.

    How do I enrol and what formats are available?
