What is the format of the SIAM Foundation exam?

The EXIN SIAM Foundation exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions. It is based on the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification and the SIAM Body of Knowledge published by Scopism.

How many questions are on the exam and what is the pass mark?

The exam has 40 questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. The pass mark is 65%, so you need at least 26 correct answers out of 40 to pass.

How is the SIAM Foundation exam delivered?

You can sit the exam online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. It is usually arranged through an EXIN Accredited Training Provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

What topics does the SIAM Foundation exam cover?

The exam spans seven topic areas: an introduction to Service Integration and Management, the implementation roadmap, roles and responsibilities, SIAM practices, processes to support SIAM, challenges and risks, and how SIAM works with other practices.

Service Integration and Management (SIAM) is a methodology for environments where several service providers deliver IT services to one customer organisation. It introduces a service integrator layer that coordinates the providers to ensure end-to-end service delivery and clear accountability.

Which standard is the SIAM Foundation course based on?

The course is based on the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification and the SIAM Body of Knowledge published by Scopism, which is the primary reference for the certification and is available as a free download from Scopism.

Is the course suitable for beginners with no SIAM background?
