Which standard is the PMI-ACP based on?

The PMI-ACP is built on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (ECO) published in January 2018, which defines seven agile domains. The exam also draws on recognised agile references such as the Agile Practice Guide and the Scrum Guide.

What are the prerequisites for the PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP valid and how is it renewed?

The PMI-ACP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) system.

Is the PMI-ACP recognised internationally?

Yes. PMI has members in over 200 countries and the PMI-ACP is recognised worldwide as a rigorous, experience-backed agile credential, valued by employers in the Maldives and abroad.

What is included in the PMI-ACP course fee?

The fee includes PMI-aligned courseware, 24 contact hours of instructor-led training, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing.

How much does PMI-ACP training cost in the Maldives?

Training fees vary by format and schedule and are available on request. Live online and onsite options are priced differently, and corporate group rates are available. Contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

How much is the PMI-ACP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 435 for PMI members and USD 495 for non-members, though prices vary. PMI membership, about USD 139 a year, can reduce the exam cost. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

What if I do not pass the PMI-ACP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our training includes mock exams and practice questions aligned to the exam so you are well prepared, and re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-ACP exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and a three-hour (180-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and delivered online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What does the PMI-ACP exam cover?

Questions are distributed across the seven agile domains in the January 2018 ECO: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and does not publish a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

Where can I take the PMI-ACP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

Do I need prior experience to take this PMI-ACP training?

The training welcomes practitioners with agile exposure and builds concepts step by step, so it suits both those new to formal agile study and experienced team members. To sit the exam, PMI requires the agile and project experience hours listed in the eligibility criteria.

What topics does the PMI-ACP training cover?

The programme covers all seven agile domains of the ECO, from agile mindset and value-driven delivery to adaptive planning and continuous improvement, plus multiple frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and TDD.

How many contact hours does the training provide?

The programme delivers 24 contact hours of instructor-led agile training, which exceeds PMI's 21 contact hour prerequisite and fully satisfies the training requirement for the PMI-ACP application.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 120-question, three-hour format, along with quizzes and revision aids to identify weak areas and build exam readiness.
