Design Quality Gaps Shaping Maldivian Industry

    Late Defects in New Products

Fisheries processors, food and beverage firms and manufacturers often find quality problems only after launch. DFSS uses the DMADV roadmap to design those defects out before production begins.

DFSS designs defects out with DMADV

    Designing Service Quality in Tourism

Resorts compete on guest experience, yet service processes are rarely designed to measured customer needs. VOC capture and CTQ flow-down help teams design consistent, high-quality service.

DFSS builds VOC and CTQ skills

    Infrastructure Under Fiscal Pressure

With tighter public budgets, construction and utilities projects must be designed right first time. Robust design and Design FMEA cut the costly rework that fiscal constraints no longer allow.

    DFSS builds robust design skills

    Reliability in Utilities and Healthcare

Power, water and medical services need designs that perform despite real-world variation. Robust design, verification and validation build that dependability in from the start.

Diversifying into Aquaculture and Marine Industries

As the Maldives diversifies beyond tourism, new products and processes need structured design. The DMADV roadmap gives teams a repeatable path from customer need to verified launch.

DFSS gives a repeatable design roadmap

    Scarce Design-For-Quality Talent

The Maldives has many quality inspectors but far fewer people trained to design quality in from the start. DFSS skills are rare locally, making trained professionals more visible to employers.

The training suits design and quality engineers, R&D professionals, new product development managers, manufacturing engineers and Six Sigma practitioners. It is a strong fit for people working in fisheries processing, construction, utilities, healthcare and resort operations across the Maldives.

Yes. DFSS gives you a design-side skill set that prevents defects instead of fixing them later, cutting rework and warranty cost. It complements DMAIC improvement work and applies directly to new product and process design projects, making you more valuable across engineering and quality roles.

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with basic Six Sigma ideas such as CTQ, DMAIC and variation is helpful, but the course introduces all DFSS tools and the DMADV methodology from first principles.

DMAIC improves existing processes that are underperforming, while DFSS uses the DMADV roadmap to design new products, services and processes right first time. This course covers DFSS and DMADV. Most organisations use both: DMAIC to improve what exists, DFSS to design what is new.

    Pricing

How much does Design for Six Sigma training cost in the Maldives?

Fees depend on the delivery mode and group size, and are available on request. Instructor-led and corporate options are quoted individually, so request a quote and a learning advisor will share the current pricing that fits your needs.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led training across all six DFSS modules, hands-on DFSS tool exercises, learning materials and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Corporate delivery can also include tailored, sector-relevant case examples.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for engineering, quality and product teams. Ask about corporate pricing to get a tailored quote for your organisation.

What payment and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is there a separate exam fee?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination, so there is no separate exam fee. The price covers the training and learning materials only.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Design for Six Sigma training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on DFSS tool exercises, case study examples and team discussion during the programme.

What will I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. It recognises that you have completed the training and built practical DFSS methodology and tool skills.

How am I assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Throughout the day you apply DMADV tools such as VOC to CTQ flow-down, QFD, the Pugh matrix and Design FMEA to realistic design scenarios, which reinforces the learning through practice.

Will I be able to apply DFSS at work straight away?

Yes. The methodology and tools are immediately applicable to new product, service and process design projects. You can lead or contribute to DMADV work, run VOC sessions, build QFD matrices and conduct Design FMEAs.

Does the training lead to a formal qualification?

No formal credential or awarding body is involved. The training builds practical, on-the-job DFSS capability, and you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning rather than an examined qualification.

    Course Content

What topics does the Design for Six Sigma course cover?
