    What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

    The PMI-ACP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (ECO). It is delivered online proctored through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre, with questions spread across seven agile domains.

    How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of three hours. Questions are distributed across the seven domains of the January 2018 ECO, from Agile Principles and Mindset to Continuous Improvement.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-ACP?

    You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. Existing PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and revision support are designed to help you pass on the first sitting; confirm current re-exam fees at pmi.org.

    You will learn to apply agile tools and techniques across the seven PMI-ACP domains: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement, plus multi-framework practice in Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and TDD.

    Do I need prior agile experience to take the course?

    The training welcomes practitioners at different levels, and beginners are supported with clear explanations and practice. To sit the exam, however, PMI requires documented agile and general project experience, so the course also guides you on meeting those prerequisites.

    Which standard and edition is the course aligned to?

    The course is aligned to the current PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (the January 2018 ECO) and draws on the PMI Agile Practice Guide and Scrum Guide. This keeps your preparation matched to what the exam actually tests.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the 120-question format, helping you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Do the 24 contact hours meet the PMI training requirement?

    Yes. PMI requires 21 contact hours of agile training to apply for the PMI-ACP. This programme delivers 24 contact hours, so it satisfies that prerequisite in full and leaves a comfortable margin.
