    What is the format of the EXIN SIAM Foundation exam?

    The exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification and the Scopism SIAM Body of Knowledge. It can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a time limit of 60 minutes (1 hour). It is a closed-book examination.

    What is the passing score for the SIAM Foundation exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which means at least 26 correct answers out of 40 questions. Broad understanding across all seven topic areas is the best way to prepare.

    Where can I take the SIAM Foundation exam?

    You can sit the exam online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. It is usually arranged through an accredited training provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    The courseware is aligned to the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification and the SIAM Body of Knowledge published by Scopism, which is the primary reference for the exam and a free download from Scopism.

    Is this course suitable for beginners and ITIL holders?

    Yes. There are no prerequisites, so beginners can start here. If you already hold ITIL Foundation or work in ITSM, you will find the SIAM governance layer easy to place alongside what you know, with hands-on examples to reinforce it.
