    What is the format of the Agile Scrum Master exam?

    The EXIN exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination delivered online with proctoring or at an accredited test location. Questions are scenario-based and require applying Scrum Master skills, not just recall.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes. It covers five topic areas defined in the EXIN examination specification.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65 percent to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. Preparing across all five topic areas gives you the best chance of success.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    The exam covers Agile Way of Thinking (20%), the Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam, and our training includes practice questions and exam-readiness support to help you prepare. Re-examination fees and policy are set by EXIN, so confirm current details when you book.

    What will I learn in the Agile Scrum Master course?

    You will learn to facilitate Scrum events, coach the team and Product Owner, remove impediments, apply agile estimating and planning, handle complex and scaled delivery, and support organisational agile adoption, all mapped to the EXIN syllabus.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    Basic familiarity with Scrum, such as Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge, helps, but the course is beginner-friendly for the Scrum Master role. Trainers guide you through each topic with practical examples and exercises.

    How long is the training?

    The Agile Scrum Master programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two days or as four half-days. It serves as practical exam preparation and Scrum Master skill development.
