What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, maps design trade-offs in the roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets anchored to customer priorities.

Does the course cover the four phases of QFD?

Yes. It covers the full four-phase QFD system: product planning, parts deployment, process planning and production planning, showing how customer requirements cascade through each phase to a documented production control.

Is QFD training relevant to service and software design?

Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the House of Quality applies wherever customer requirements must become delivery specifications. The course covers QFD for services such as healthcare and financial services, and for software development.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one day, around 8 hours, covering all six QFD modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on House of Quality exercises. A half-day format across two days is also available.
