What Is Quality Function Deployment Training?UntitledA Customer-Driven Route to Better Design

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) Training is a practical, one-day course that teaches you to translate the Voice of the Customer into precise engineering and design specifications using the House of Quality matrix. Built for product, design and quality professionals, this Quality Function Deployment training in Morocco turns what customers actually want into decisions engineers can act on. Developed in Japan by Yoji Akao and Shigeru Mizuno, QFD is a customer-driven planning methodology used in automotive product development within APQP, aerospace, electronics, healthcare and service design. The training covers Voice of the Customer capture, the Kano model, full House of Quality construction, and the four-phase QFD cascade from product planning through parts deployment and process planning to production. As Morocco cements its place as Africa's leading industrial economy, employers in Tangier, Kenitra and Casablanca increasingly need people who can design quality in from the start rather than inspect it in later. Build that capability, practise it on your own product, and apply it immediately at work with Invensis Learning.

Skills You Will Build in QFD TrainingPractical Tools You Apply at Work

This training builds the practical skills to turn customer requirements into design and process decisions. By the end, you can run a Voice of the Customer exercise, build and interpret a House of Quality, and cascade the analysis through the full QFD system.

Capture the Voice of the Customer

What you will learn in QFD training starts with capturing the Voice of the Customer. Use interviews, observation and surveys to gather customer needs, then structure them into a clear hierarchy with affinity diagrams and classify them with the Kano model.

    Build the House of Quality

Construct the House of Quality room by room: customer requirements, measurable engineering characteristics, the relationship matrix, competitive benchmarking and engineering targets, so customer priorities drive every design decision.

    Prioritise with the Relationship Matrix

Rate customer-to-engineering relationships using the 9, 3 and 1 scale, then calculate absolute and relative column importance to identify the vital few engineering characteristics that most influence customer satisfaction.

    Resolve Trade-Offs in the Roof

Read the correlation matrix, the roof of the House of Quality, to reveal where improving one characteristic harms another, then resolve those design conflicts before they surface in expensive prototype testing.

    Cascade QFD Through Four Phases

Cascade the analysis through product planning, parts deployment, process planning and production planning, keeping full traceability from a single customer requirement all the way to a production control.

Apply QFD in DFSS, DMAIC and Services

Use QFD within Design for Six Sigma and DMAIC projects, and extend it beyond manufacturing to healthcare, financial services and software, where customer requirements must become delivery specifications.

QFD training is a practical, one-day course that teaches you to translate the Voice of the Customer into engineering and design specifications using the House of Quality matrix. It covers customer requirement capture, the Kano model, House of Quality construction, and the four-phase QFD cascade.

No. QFD training is a non-certification skills course with no exam and no external awarding body. On completion you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and the practical skills are immediately applicable at work.

The course suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, marketing and R&D professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners. It is well matched to Morocco's automotive, aerospace and manufacturing teams that translate customer requirements into design specifications.

QFD gives structured traceability from customer requirements to design and process controls, which supports APQP and IATF 16949 work. With over 200 automotive suppliers and 142 aerospace firms in Morocco, that capability is in strong demand.

No prior experience is required. The course introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles. Familiarity with product development or quality management is helpful but not essential, as every concept is taught step by step.

    General

What is Quality Function Deployment (QFD) training?

QFD training is a practical, one-day course that teaches you to translate the Voice of the Customer into engineering and design specifications using the House of Quality matrix. It covers customer requirement capture, the Kano model, House of Quality construction, and the four-phase QFD cascade.

    Is QFD a certification course?

No. QFD training is a non-certification skills course with no exam and no external awarding body. On completion you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and the practical skills are immediately applicable at work.

Who should attend QFD training in Morocco?

The course suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, marketing and R&D professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners. It is well matched to Morocco's automotive, aerospace and manufacturing teams that translate customer requirements into design specifications.

Why is QFD useful for Morocco's automotive and aerospace sectors?

QFD gives structured traceability from customer requirements to design and process controls, which supports APQP and IATF 16949 work. With over 200 automotive suppliers and 142 aerospace firms in Morocco, that capability is in strong demand.

Do I need prior experience to take QFD training?

No prior experience is required. The course introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles. Familiarity with product development or quality management is helpful but not essential, as every concept is taught step by step.

    Pricing

How much does QFD training cost in Morocco?

Pricing varies by delivery mode, group size and format, so a tailored quote gives the most accurate figure. Live online, classroom and corporate onsite options are available. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current pricing.

What is included in the QFD training fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six QFD modules, structured courseware, House of Quality templates, hands-on exercises, learner support and a course completion record. Ask your advisor to confirm the inclusions for your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate rates for teams?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for product, quality and engineering teams. It is delivered onsite or live online. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    Are payment options available?

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Does the price differ for online and onsite training?

Pricing can vary between live online, classroom and onsite corporate delivery because of format and group size. The best approach is to request a quote for your preferred mode so you receive an accurate, current figure.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for QFD training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction exercises, case study examples and team discussion during the one-day programme.

What will I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. No formal credential is awarded by an external body, but you leave with practical QFD and House of Quality skills you can apply immediately to product and service design.

How is learning assessed during the course?

Learning is assessed informally through practical activities rather than a test. You build and interpret a House of Quality, structure Voice of the Customer data, classify requirements with the Kano model, and work through team QFD exercises throughout the day.

Will I be able to build a House of Quality after the course?

Yes. By the end of the training you can capture the Voice of the Customer, construct all six rooms of the House of Quality, calculate column importance, and read the matrix to identify design priorities and conflicts.

Do the QFD skills expire or need renewal?

No. There is no credential to maintain and nothing to renew. QFD is a stable, established methodology, so the House of Quality and four-phase skills you learn remain applicable throughout your career.

    Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD principles and origins, Voice of the Customer capture, the Kano model, full House of Quality construction, interpreting the matrix, the four-phase QFD cascade, and applying QFD within DFSS, DMAIC and service design.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, maps design trade-offs in the roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets anchored to customer priorities.

Does the course cover the four phases of QFD?

Yes. It covers the full four-phase QFD system: product planning, parts deployment, process planning and production planning, showing how customer requirements cascade through each phase to a documented production control.

Is QFD training relevant to service and software design?

Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the House of Quality applies wherever customer requirements must become delivery specifications. The course covers QFD for services such as healthcare and financial services, and for software development.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one day, around 8 hours, covering all six QFD modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on House of Quality exercises. A half-day format across two days is also available.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in QFD training in Morocco?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete your registration, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. A learning advisor can help you pick the right option.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (virtual instructor-led) training, classroom training, and customised corporate onsite delivery. This lets individuals and teams across Morocco choose the format that best fits their schedule and learning preference.

Can QFD training be delivered onsite for my team?

Yes. Corporate onsite delivery is available in Tangier, Kenitra, Casablanca and elsewhere. Onsite training is especially effective because your team can build a House of Quality for one of your own products during the exercises.

When can I start the training?

Public sessions run on a regular schedule, and corporate onsite dates can be arranged to suit your team. Check upcoming batches on the website or ask a learning advisor about the next available start date.

Can I reschedule my enrollment to another batch?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch where available. Contact our support team and they will help you move to a session that works for you.
