What Is Driving Demand for Quality Skills in Libya

    Reconstruction Quality Pressure

Libya's rebuild is driving demand for products and infrastructure that meet user needs first time. QFD gives teams a structured way to design quality in and avoid expensive late rework.

    QFD builds customer-driven design skills

    Import Dependence and Local Value

With heavy reliance on imported cement and goods, local manufacturers must design products customers genuinely want. QFD translates that demand into clear specifications.

    QFD builds Voice-of-the-Customer skills

    Oil and Gas Supplier Standards

Returning operators such as Eni, BP and TotalEnergies expect suppliers to trace customer and regulatory requirements into design. QFD provides that documented, auditable link.

    QFD builds requirement-traceability skills

    Weak Voice-Of-Customer Discipline

Many teams still design from assumption rather than evidence. The House of Quality makes customer requirements visible and traceable through every stage of development.

    QFD closes the customer-to-design gap

    The Cost of Late Rework

Scarce capital makes late design changes painful. The correlation roof surfaces conflicting requirements early, so teams resolve trade-offs before costly prototyping.

QFD builds trade-off and conflict skills

    Diversification Beyond Oil

As Libya grows non-oil sectors, customer-driven product development skills are scarce. QFD equips teams to launch new products and services that succeed in the market.

Skills You Will Build in This QFD CourseThe Full House of Quality Toolkit

This Quality Function Deployment training builds a complete, practical skill set, from capturing the Voice of the Customer to cascading requirements through production. By the end, you can run a House of Quality workshop and connect customer needs to design and delivery decisions.

Capture the Voice of the Customer

Skills covered in QFD start with structuring the Voice of the Customer. Collect customer needs through interviews, observation and surveys, then organise them with an affinity diagram and classify them using the Kano model of must-be, performance and delighter requirements.

    Build the House of Quality

Construct the House of Quality step by step: enter customer requirements and importance ratings, define measurable engineering characteristics, complete the relationship matrix, and set engineering targets that are anchored to what customers value most.

    Interpret and Prioritise Design Decisions

Calculate absolute and relative technical importance, read the matrix for design hot spots, and use row and column analysis to spot gaps and over-engineering, so design effort goes where it drives the most customer satisfaction.

    Resolve Design Trade-Offs

Use the correlation roof to reveal where improving one characteristic harms another, benchmark your product against competitors, and resolve conflicts with evidence rather than guesswork before expensive prototyping begins.

    Cascade QFD Through Four Phases

Carry customer requirements all the way from product planning to parts deployment, process planning and production control, creating a documented audit trail from every quality control back to a specific customer need.

Apply QFD in Six Sigma and Services

Use QFD in the Design for Six Sigma Measure phase and the DMAIC Define phase, and extend the House of Quality to service, healthcare and software design where customer requirements must become delivery specifications.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with schedules and content tailored to your team, and pricing based on group size. This is ideal for engineering, quality and product teams that want to build a House of Quality for one of their own products. Ask about corporate pricing.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is there a discount for training a whole team?

Yes. Volume-based pricing is available when you train several colleagues together, and onsite delivery can be more cost-effective than enrolling people individually. Request a group quote for your team in Libya.

    Assessment

Is there an assessment or a formal examination?

No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course, so there is no formal examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction exercises, case study examples and team discussion throughout the one-day programme.

Do I receive a certificate after the course?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. This is a skills training course rather than a credential from an external body, so no formal certification is awarded, but the skills you gain are immediately applicable.

How is my learning reinforced during the training?

Learning is reinforced by doing. You structure a Voice of the Customer, classify requirements with the Kano model, build a complete House of Quality from a realistic scenario, calculate column importance, and identify design hot spots and conflicts as a team.

Will I be able to apply QFD at work afterwards?

Yes. After the training you can facilitate Voice-of-the-Customer workshops, build a House of Quality, cascade QFD through parts, process and production planning, and integrate the method into Design for Six Sigma and DMAIC projects in your organisation.

Does the skill expire or need renewal?

No. QFD is a practical methodology, so the skills you learn do not expire and require no renewal. Once you can build and interpret a House of Quality, you can keep applying it across new products, services and improvement projects.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the QFD syllabus?

The course covers six modules: QFD principles and business case, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, building the House of Quality step by step, interpreting and using the House of Quality, cascading QFD through four phases, and applying QFD in Six Sigma, services and case studies.

What will I learn about the Voice of the Customer?

You learn how to collect customer requirements through interviews, observation, surveys and complaint analysis, organise them with an affinity diagram into primary, secondary and tertiary needs, classify them with the Kano model, and weight their importance for the House of Quality.

Does the course cover the four phases of QFD?

Yes. The training explains how QFD cascades through Product Planning, Parts Deployment, Process Planning and Production Planning, so customer requirements are traceable from the first House of Quality all the way to the controls on the production line.

Is QFD useful for services and software, not just manufacturing?

Yes. Although QFD began in manufacturing, the course covers its use in services such as healthcare and financial services, and in software development. The House of Quality applies anywhere customer requirements must be translated into design or delivery specifications.

    What practical exercises are included?

Hands-on exercises run throughout the day. You structure a Voice of the Customer with an affinity diagram, run a Kano classification, build a full House of Quality from a realistic product or service scenario, calculate column importance, and identify design hot spots and conflicts.
