    General

What is the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is an advanced credential that validates your ability to lead complex improvement projects across all five DMAIC phases, including advanced statistics, Lean tools and project leadership. It is governed by IASSC, now part of PeopleCert, as an independent, third-party validation of knowledge.

Who should take Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training in Libya?

It suits quality engineers, operations and continuous improvement managers, consultants and senior practitioners who lead change. In Libya it is especially relevant for professionals in oil and gas, manufacturing, utilities and services who want to drive measurable efficiency and quality gains.

Is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt worth it in Libya?

Yes. As employers ramp oil production, rebuild infrastructure and diversify the economy, professionals who can lead data-driven improvement are in demand. Senior quality and operations roles in the oil and manufacturing sectors pay well above the national average, and certified Black Belts are scarce in the market.

Do I need a Green Belt before taking the Black Belt?

No. There are no prerequisites for the Black Belt. No prior certification, education or work experience is required, though training and real-world project experience are recommended to help you succeed in the exam and on the job.

How long is the Black Belt certification valid?

The certification holds Current status for three years from the date you certify. To maintain it, you pass a recertification exam before the elapse date or within 90 days after, keeping your credential active for another three years.

    Pricing

How much does Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training cost in Libya?

Training fees are quoted in local currency and are available on request, as pricing depends on the format you choose and whether you train as an individual or a team. The exam voucher is billed separately by the certifying body. Request a quote and our advisor will share current options.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training, courseware aligned to the Black Belt Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, project-based exercises and learner support. The exam voucher is purchased separately and is not part of the training fee.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The Black Belt exam voucher is purchased separately and is billed in USD under regional pricing through the certifying body. As a guide the base price is around USD 450, but you should confirm the current amount before you book.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in oil and gas, manufacturing, utilities and services. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Black Belt exam?

It is a closed-book exam of 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark. A reference document with the required formulas and tables is provided. Some forms include up to 15 additional non-graded questions that do not count toward your score.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 150 scored multiple-choice questions and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it. Non-native speakers or candidates with a disability may be allowed an additional 60 minutes.

What is the passing score for the Black Belt exam?

You need a minimum of 580 out of 750 points to pass. Because the exam spans all five DMAIC phases, focus on broad mastery across Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control rather than any single area.

What is the exam application process?

Purchase your exam voucher from the official IASSC orders site, choose your delivery mode, then schedule and sit the exam. You can take it online with 24/7 remote proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. An optional non-proctored evaluation exam is available to check your readiness first.

Where can I take the Black Belt exam?

You can sit the exam online through a web-based proctored system available around the clock, or in person at one of the thousands of Pearson VUE test centres worldwide. Choose whichever option is more convenient for you.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes structured practice, mock exams and trainer guidance to help you prepare thoroughly and approach your attempt with confidence.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the Black Belt training?

The training covers the five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. It goes deep into advanced statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, Design of Experiments, Lean tools and statistical process control, matching the body of knowledge tested in the exam.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware aligned to the Black Belt Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, project-based exercises, templates and reference materials, along with guidance from accredited trainers throughout the programme.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams modelled on the 150-question, four-hour, closed-book format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness before exam day.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest body of knowledge?

Yes. The courseware follows the current Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge, structured around the five DMAIC phases, so what you study reflects what the exam actually assesses.

Can a beginner take the Black Belt, or do I need experience?

There are no formal prerequisites, so motivated learners can enrol directly. Some prior exposure to process improvement or basic statistics helps, and our trainers support you through the advanced topics with worked examples and practice.
