What Is the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Certification?UntitledA Structured Route to Controlled Project Delivery

The PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Certification Course is a combined project management programme that takes you from understanding the PRINCE2 method to applying and tailoring it on real projects. Delivered as PRINCE2 certification training in Libya, it prepares senior and aspiring project professionals for both PeopleCert examinations in one structured journey. The course is built on the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), the current version published by PeopleCert and owned by AXELOS. PRINCE2 7 introduces the People capability, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability across the method, covering seven principles, the People element, seven practices and seven processes. You learn the method at Foundation level and then how to apply and tailor it to project scenarios at Practitioner level. With Libya rebuilding its infrastructure, energy and housing sectors, employers increasingly want project managers who can govern delivery in a controlled environment. This programme suits project coordinators, practising project managers and team members moving into structured delivery roles. Start your PRINCE2 journey with Invensis Learning and move from learning to two globally recognised credentials.

Why PRINCE2 Certification Pays OffFor Project Professionals in Libya

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

PRINCE2 training helps professionals in Libya build structured project management capability and prepare for both PeopleCert exams. The Foundation level validates that you understand the method well enough to work in a PRINCE2 environment, while the Practitioner level proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios. Whether you are formalising years of delivery experience, moving from a coordinator role, or working on reconstruction, oil and gas, or digital projects, this training builds capabilities employers actively look for.

If you want a clear, recognised route into structured project delivery, the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner pathway is a strong choice. You gain method knowledge, scenario-based application skills, and a supported path to two credentials that employers across Libya and the wider region value.

    • Earns two globally recognised credentials from a single combined programme
    • Proves you can manage projects within a controlled, best-practice environment
    • Positions you for project manager and delivery lead roles in energy, construction and IT
    • Builds command of the seven PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes
    • Adds the PRINCE2 7 People capability, valued for leadership and stakeholder skills
    • Teaches you to tailor the method to projects of any size or complexity
    • Improves your standing on donor-funded and international contractor projects in Libya
    • Gives a transferable qualification that travels across sectors and borders
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

PRINCE2 group training helps organisations in Libya raise project delivery maturity by equipping teams with a shared, structured method. Training can be delivered for PMOs, engineering teams, IT functions or programme offices. For organisations delivering capital, infrastructure or transformation work, a common method reduces variability and improves control from initiation to closure.

If your teams manage growing project workloads without a consistent governance approach, PRINCE2 training creates a shared way of working. Teams gain a standardised method for planning, risk management, quality and progress control that holds up on complex, high-value projects.

    • Builds a common project governance language across delivery teams
    • Standardises how projects are initiated, controlled and closed
    • Improves accountability on reconstruction, energy and public sector programmes
    • Strengthens risk, quality and issue control across the portfolio
    • Supports tendering where international clients expect PRINCE2 governance
    • Enables customised, in-house delivery aligned to your project environment
    • Develops in-house capability rather than relying on external contractors
    • Scales consistent practice across offices in Tripoli, Benghazi and beyond

Why Structured Project Management Is in Demand Across Libya

    Reconstruction Delivery at Scale

With 200+ new projects announced and 150,000 housing units planned to 2030, Libya needs project managers who can initiate, control and close work in a governed, repeatable way.

    PRINCE2 builds structured governance skills

    Energy Sector Project Revival

As oil output recovers past 1.5 million barrels a day and new gas contracts are awarded, operators need disciplined project control across capital and operations programmes.

PRINCE2 builds control and risk discipline

    Governance and Accountability Gap

Post-conflict delivery demands clear accountability and audit trails. PRINCE2's principles, defined roles and manage-by-exception approach give public and private teams that control.

    PRINCE2 builds business justification skills

    Certified Project Talent Shortage

Libya has capable delivery staff but few holders of a recognised project method. Foundation and Practitioner credentials make certified managers rare and sought-after.

PRINCE2 makes certified managers stand out

    International Contractor Standards

Italian, Turkish and Chinese contractors rebuilding Libya expect structured governance. PRINCE2 gives local teams a shared method to work credibly alongside them.

PRINCE2 aligns teams to global practice

    Public Sector Delivery Pressure

Agencies managing donor and state-funded programmes must show value and progress. PRINCE2 practices for quality, progress and issues support transparent reporting.

    General

Is the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner certification worth it in Libya?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised project management method that Libyan and international employers value on reconstruction, energy, construction and IT projects. Certified project managers command stronger salary bands, with senior roles reaching LYD 150K and above, and stand out in a market short of credentialed talent.

What is PRINCE2 and which edition does this course cover?

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured, scalable project management method covering seven principles, the People capability, seven practices and seven processes. This course covers the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and owned by AXELOS.

Who should take the combined Foundation and Practitioner course?

It suits aspiring and practising project managers, project coordinators and team members working in PRINCE2 environments. Foundation builds method knowledge, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, incorporates commercial management, and integrates agile and sustainability across the method. It aligns to the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle, and Practitioner by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Libya?

The training fee for combined Foundation and Practitioner delivery in Libya is available on request and varies by format and group size. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately in USD, EUR or GBP. Request a quote for current pricing and inclusions.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, exam preparation guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen format when you request a quote.

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, lasts 60 minutes and is closed book. The passing score is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes and is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. The passing score is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It tests application and tailoring in project scenarios.

Do I need Foundation before taking Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D, is required before the Practitioner exam. In this combined programme you sit Foundation first, then Practitioner.

Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams from Libya?

You can take both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE online proctored system, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are typically arranged through your accredited training package.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit either exam. Our training includes mock exams and preparation support to help you pass, and selected plans include retake options. Confirm the current resit policy and any voucher terms with PeopleCert and our advisors before booking.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this PRINCE2 course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so beginners and those new to PRINCE2 can start here. The training builds from method fundamentals at Foundation level to applied, scenario-based skills at Practitioner level with guided support.

What topics does the PRINCE2 syllabus cover?

The programme covers the seven principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring the method to different project contexts.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
