What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

The DOFD exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions, based on the current DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint and Body of Knowledge. It can be taken online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The DevOps Foundation exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 60 minutes (one hour). It is closed book with single-answer questions.

What is the passing score for DevOps Foundation?

The pass mark is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. The course prepares you across all six topic areas so you can pass with confidence.

What topics does the DevOps Foundation exam cover?

You will learn DevOps history and the Three Ways, the CALMS framework, core practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code and SRE, the DORA metrics, the continuous delivery pipeline, the DevOps toolchain, and DevOps culture and organisation.
