What is the PMI-ACP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is PMI's agile credential spanning Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and test-driven development. It suits Scrum Masters, product owners, agile coaches, project managers and team members who already work in agile or hybrid environments and want to validate their experience.

What agile frameworks does the PMI-ACP cover?

The PMI-ACP spans multiple frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP), test-driven development, Crystal and Feature-Driven Development. This multi-framework scope is what distinguishes it from single-framework credentials.

Which standard is the PMI-ACP based on?

The exam is based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018, and it draws on the Agile Practice Guide and other recognised agile references. The ECO defines the seven agile domains and their tasks that the exam tests.

How long is the PMI-ACP certification valid?

The PMI-ACP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in agile topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

How much does PMI-ACP training cost in Lithuania?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request in euros. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD (for reference, around USD 435 for members and USD 495 for non-members; confirm current fees at pmi.org). Request a quote for current euro pricing and group rates.

What is included in the PMI-ACP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 21 contact hours of agile training, practice questions, mock exams mapped to the seven domains, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is not included.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-ACP exam fee separately in USD. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) reduces the exam fee and gives free access to the Agile Practice Guide, so it often pays for itself. Talk to a learning advisor for guidance.

What if I do not pass the PMI-ACP exam first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our training includes mock exams and domain-focused practice to prepare you thoroughly, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-ACP exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and a three-hour allotted time. It is closed book and delivered online proctored through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

How are the questions distributed across the domains?

The 120 questions are spread across seven domains per the ECO: Agile Principles and Mindset (16%), Value-Driven Delivery (20%), Stakeholder Engagement (17%), Team Performance (16%), Adaptive Planning (12%), Problem Detection and Resolution (10%) and Continuous Improvement (9%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

What will I learn in the PMI-ACP training?

You will learn across all seven agile domains: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement, with practical work in Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP.

Do I need prior agile experience to take the training?

The training welcomes practitioners at different levels, but the PMI-ACP credential itself requires agile project experience to apply. If you already work in agile teams, the programme builds your breadth and prepares you for the exam and the application.

Does the course provide the 21 contact hours I need to apply?

Yes. The programme delivers 24 contact hours of agile training, which exceeds the 21 contact hours PMI requires as a prerequisite, so completing it fully satisfies the training eligibility requirement.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-ACP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline effective January 2018 and the Agile Practice Guide, which remain the current basis for the exam.
