What Is AgilePM Certification Training in South Korea?UntitledFoundation to Practitioner, Explained

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner (AgilePM-F&P) certification training in South Korea prepares project professionals to deliver agile projects within a structured governance framework built on DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method). This combined programme covers both levels end to end: the Foundation builds your knowledge of the AgilePM philosophy, eight principles, lifecycle, roles and MoSCoW prioritisation, while the Practitioner develops your ability to tailor and apply the framework to real project scenarios. The course is aligned to the current AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the AgilePM Handbook published by the Agile Business Consortium, formerly the DSDM Consortium. You prepare for two separate examinations, the closed-book Foundation exam and the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner exam, supported by mock exams, industry case studies and first-attempt guidance. As Korean IT services, banking and digital platforms scale agile delivery beyond team-level Scrum, employers increasingly want project leaders who can govern iterative work with discipline. Whether you are a project manager, PRINCE2 holder or agile team member in Seoul, this training positions you to lead with confidence. Start your AgilePM journey with Invensis Learning.

    General

What is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management certification based on DSDM, providing eight principles, a defined lifecycle, roles, MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing for governed agile delivery. The combined course prepares you for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

Who should take AgilePM certification training?

AgilePM training suits project managers, PRINCE2 holders, agile team members, business analysts and delivery leads who want structured agile project management skills. The Foundation has no prerequisites, so it is open to professionals at any career stage in South Korea.

Is AgilePM recognised in South Korea?

Yes. AgilePM is a globally recognised agile framework used in over 150 countries and valued by South Korean IT services, banking, digital platform and manufacturing employers who run governed agile projects. It complements Scrum, PRINCE2 and PMI credentials.

How does AgilePM differ from Scrum?

Scrum is a team-level delivery framework, while AgilePM is a project-level governance framework covering the full lifecycle from strategic alignment to benefit realisation. AgilePM defines business, technical and management roles, so it acts as a governance wrapper around Scrum delivery teams.

What are the eight AgilePM principles?

The eight principles are: focus on the business need, deliver on time, collaborate, never compromise quality, build incrementally from firm foundations, develop iteratively, communicate continuously and clearly, and demonstrate control. Every AgilePM project and team applies them throughout delivery.

    Exam

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation portion of the training.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 4 scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over 2 hours. It is open book, with the AgilePM Handbook permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 30 out of 60 marks.

Are there prerequisites for the AgilePM exams?

The Foundation exam has no prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the AgilePM Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent. Both exams must be passed to hold the Foundation and Practitioner credentials.

How are the AgilePM exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered through online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and are usually taken at the end of each training level. The Foundation exam is closed book, while the Practitioner exam is open book using the AgilePM Handbook.

Which syllabus are the AgilePM exams based on?

The exams are based on the current AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the AgilePM Handbook published by the Agile Business Consortium, formerly the DSDM Consortium. Our courseware is aligned to these current syllabi.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

Our training includes first-attempt guidance, mock exams and practice questions to prepare you for both exams. If a re-sit is needed, retake policies vary by voucher and provider, so confirm the current terms with our team before you book.

    Course Content

What topics does the AgilePM training cover?

The training covers the full AgilePM framework: the philosophy and eight principles, the lifecycle and products, roles and responsibilities, MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing, and planning, control and risk. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner develops applied, scenario-based skill.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive AgilePM-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams for both levels, practice questions and revision aids. Materials support the Foundation at knowledge level and the Practitioner at application and analysis level.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes Foundation and Practitioner mock exams and practice questions mapped to the exam formats, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for both the closed-book and open-book exams.

Do I need prior agile experience to take this course?

No prior agile experience is required for the Foundation level, which is beginner friendly. The course builds from first principles, so professionals new to structured agile can follow it, while experienced practitioners deepen their governance and application skills.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest AgilePM syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the AgilePM Handbook, so you study the framework as it is examined today across both levels.
