What Is the CAPM and Where It Can Take YouUntitledPMI's Entry Route into Project Management

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the Project Management Institute (PMI) entry-level credential that proves you understand the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of managing projects. CAPM certification training in Cambodia is built for people starting out, so you can validate real project skills and step into the profession with confidence. The course is aligned to the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, and it covers all four exam domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. You prepare for the 150-question, three-hour exam delivered through Pearson VUE, whether online proctored or at a test centre. CAPM is unique among PMI credentials because it requires no project work experience. You need only a secondary degree and 23 hours of project management education, which this programme provides in full. As Cambodia's construction, banking and technology sectors expand, employers in Phnom Penh increasingly value staff who can speak the language of structured project delivery. General

What is the CAPM certification and who is it for?

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level credential that proves you understand the fundamentals of project management. It is designed for students, graduates, career changers and project team members who want to enter the profession, with no prior work experience required.

Is the CAPM worth it for a beginner in Cambodia?

Yes. As Cambodia's construction, banking and technology sectors expand, employers increasingly value staff who understand structured project delivery. CAPM is a globally recognised PMI credential that helps early-career candidates stand out for project coordinator, analyst and administrator roles.

Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides in full.

    Is the CAPM recognised internationally?

Yes. CAPM is a PMI credential recognised by employers across more than 200 countries. It signals credible foundational project knowledge and commitment to the profession, and it travels with you across sectors and borders.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

CAPM is valid for three years from the date of certification. Unlike PMP and other PMI credentials, CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

What is included in the CAPM training fee?

    Exam

What is the format of the CAPM exam?

The CAPM is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam of 150 questions with a three-hour (180-minute) time limit. It is delivered through Pearson VUE, either online proctored via OnVUE or at a test centre, and is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?
