Assessment

Is there an exam for this Azure DevOps course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on exercises on the Azure DevOps portal and CLI throughout the programme, so you practise every skill as you learn it.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. It recognises that you have completed the training and built practical Azure DevOps skills; it is not an external certification.

Is this an official Microsoft certification?

No. Azure DevOps is a product of Microsoft Corporation, but this training is a vendor-neutral skills course, not an official Microsoft certification. It builds hands-on capability you can apply at work immediately, without any exam.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each concept in live exercises: creating repositories, writing YAML pipelines, deploying Bicep templates and setting up monitoring, so you leave able to do the work rather than sit a test.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to manage code in Azure Repos, build multi-stage CI/CD pipelines, deploy infrastructure with ARM and Bicep, run containers on AKS, monitor with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and integrate DevSecOps security into your pipeline.

What topics are covered in the Azure DevOps training?

The syllabus covers DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control and CI with Azure Pipelines, continuous delivery, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

Does the course include hands-on labs?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the programme. You work directly on the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI, building pipelines, repositories, IaC templates and monitoring dashboards, so you practise realistic DevOps scenarios as you learn.

Do I need an Azure account for the training?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation, with a free tier available at dev.azure.com. Please check with us on whether a shared training environment is provided or whether you should bring your own Azure account.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code and containers?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep deployed from Azure Pipelines, and containerisation using Azure Container Registry and Azure Kubernetes Service, including Helm-based deployment and image promotion.

Is the courseware up to date with current Azure DevOps services?

Yes. Microsoft updates Azure DevOps frequently, and the training follows Microsoft's current Azure-native services and practices across Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts, Test Plans, IaC, containers and monitoring.
