    General

Is the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation certification worth it?

Yes. ASF gives you a globally recognised, lifetime EXIN credential that proves you understand the agile way of working and the Scrum framework. In Jamaica, agile-literate professionals are increasingly sought after across IT, BPO, banking and government as the digital economy grows.

What is the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation certification?

The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation (ASF) is an entry-level certification that validates your understanding of agile and the Scrum framework. Governed by EXIN, it is grounded in the current Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto, and is the first level in the EXIN Agile Scrum scheme.

Who should take the ASF certification?

It suits anyone who works with or within a Scrum team: developers, testers, analysts and coordinators, project managers moving from a traditional background, and students or career changers entering agile delivery. No prior agile experience is required.

Are there any prerequisites for ASF?

No. EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation has no formal prerequisites. It is open to complete beginners regardless of education, work experience or prior agile knowledge, which makes it an ideal first step into agile ways of working.

How long is the ASF certification valid?

The certification is valid for lifetime. It does not expire, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you have passed the EXIN exam.

Our programme includes first-attempt guidance, mock exams and practice questions to prepare you thoroughly. If you need to resit, EXIN allows re-examination; confirm the current re-sit policy and fee with EXIN or your learning advisor before booking.

What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

It is a closed-book exam with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification, which is aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto.

What is the passing score for the ASF exam?

The pass mark is 65%, so you need at least 26 of the 40 questions correct. Preparing across all five topic areas gives you the broad coverage the exam rewards.

What topics does the ASF exam cover?

It covers five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking, Scrum Practices, Scrum Planning and Estimation, Monitoring Scrum Projects, and Advanced Scrum Concepts, per the EXIN Examination Specification.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full mock exams that mirror the 40-question, 60-minute EXIN format, helping you identify weak areas and build confidence before exam day.

How long is the ASF training?

The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. The schedule flexes to suit individual learners and corporate teams.
