What Is the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Certification?UntitledA Modern Route into Digital Service Management

The VeriSM Foundation (VeriSM-F) is an entry-level certification from EXIN that introduces VeriSM, a service management approach built for the digital age. VeriSM Foundation certification training in Iceland gives IT and business professionals a clear, vendor-neutral way to define their own service management approach instead of following a single prescriptive framework. At its core sits the VeriSM management mesh, which integrates resources, environment, emerging practices and management practices so organisations can combine ITIL, Agile, DevOps, Lean and SIAM to suit their context. The exam is set by EXIN and grounded in the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Examination Specification, with the VeriSM framework developed by the IFDC. As Iceland's public and private sectors accelerate digital transformation through programmes like Stafraent Island, professionals who can unify fragmented frameworks are increasingly valued. The credential is recognised by EXIN across 165+ countries, carries no prerequisites, and is valid for life. Start your VeriSM journey with Invensis Learning.

Invensis Learning is an EXIN Accredited Training Provider in Iceland, approved to deliver official VeriSM Foundation training using EXIN-aligned courseware and the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Certification Examination Content Outline(ECO).

    General

What is the EXIN VeriSM Foundation certification?

VeriSM Foundation is EXIN's entry-level certification in VeriSM, a service management approach for the digital age. It covers the VeriSM model, the management mesh and how organisations define their own flexible service management approach by combining practices such as ITIL, Agile and DevOps.

Is VeriSM Foundation worth it for professionals in Iceland?

Yes. As Icelandic employers modernise service delivery through programmes like Stafraent Island and a growing fintech and data-centre sector, professionals who can unify multiple frameworks are in demand. VeriSM Foundation is globally recognised and valued across IT, banking and the public sector.

Who should take VeriSM Foundation training?

VeriSM Foundation suits IT service managers, operations and delivery leads, consultants, ITIL holders and business professionals who want a modern, vendor-neutral view of service management. There are no prerequisites, so it is open to anyone in a digitally enabled organisation.

What is the VeriSM management mesh?

The management mesh is the central VeriSM concept. It integrates four elements, resources, environment, emerging practices and management practices, so an organisation can combine the right practices for its context. The mesh stays flexible and adapts to the organisation's VeriSM pattern.

How long is the VeriSM Foundation certification valid?

VeriSM Foundation certification is valid for life. It does not expire, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you pass the EXIN exam.

How does VeriSM differ from ITIL?

ITIL is a prescriptive framework, while VeriSM is a flexible approach that treats ITIL as one of many practices in the management mesh. VeriSM does not replace ITIL; it shows how to combine ITIL, Agile, DevOps, Lean and SIAM for your context. The two are highly complementary.
