    The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is open book and taken online through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete an approved course. No proctor is required.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    The passing score is 74%, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. The exam is open book, so you can refer to your materials while you answer.

    How many attempts do I get for the CSM exam?

    Candidates typically have three attempts to pass the CSM exam within 90 days of completing the course. You access the exam through your Scrum Alliance member account once the course is complete.

    Do I need to attend a course before taking the CSM exam?

    Yes. Attendance at an approved CSM course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) is mandatory. The exam cannot be accessed until you complete the course, and you have 90 days from completion to sit it online.

    What happens if I do not pass the CSM exam first time?
