How many exams are in the combined AgilePM programme?

There are two separate exams: the AgilePM Foundation exam and the AgilePM Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials, and the combined programme prepares you for each.

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and a 40-minute duration. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 4 scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over 2 hours. It is open book with the AgilePM Handbook permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 30 out of 60 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient handbook navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

AgilePM Foundation certification is required before you sit the Practitioner exam. The combined programme covers Foundation first, so you build the knowledge and clear that level before moving to Practitioner application.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our training includes mock exams and exam-technique guidance for both levels to help you prepare thoroughly. Confirm the current re-sit policy and any fees with your learning advisor.

What will I learn in the AgilePM programme?

You will learn the eight AgilePM principles, the six-phase lifecycle and management products, the business, technical and management roles, MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing, and planning, control and risk. Practitioner then develops how you apply and tailor all of this.

Which standard is the AgilePM course based on?

The course is aligned to the current AgilePM Handbook, published by the Agile Business Consortium, and the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. AgilePM is built on the DSDM framework.

How long is the AgilePM training?

The combined AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as a 5-day course totalling around 40 hours of instruction, with Foundation content first and Practitioner content following. Schedules vary by format.

Are practice exams and materials included?
