    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is closed book and uses single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification, which is aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and an allotted time of 90 minutes. Questions are distributed across the five EXIN topic areas, from the agile way of thinking to adopting agile.

    What is the passing score for the Agile Scrum Master exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions answered correctly. Our training and mock exams are designed to build your readiness across all five topic areas.

    How is the ASM exam delivered in Ireland?

    The exam is available online with EXIN proctoring or at EXIN accredited testing locations, and can be taken through accredited training providers. You can sit it from home or office with secure remote proctoring.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam?

    You can resit the EXIN exam. Re-examination policy and any fee are confirmed by EXIN at the time of booking. Our trainers help you target weak areas before you attempt again so you are well prepared.

    The training covers the five EXIN topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%), plus exam strategy.

    Can a beginner take the ASM course?

    Yes. While EXIN recommends Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge, the course starts with the Scrum framework basics before moving into the Scrum Master role, so motivated beginners can follow it with trainer support.
