What You Gain from QFD TrainingSkills That Pay off at Work

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

QFD training gives product and quality professionals a repeatable way to keep the customer at the centre of every design decision. You learn to capture the Voice of the Customer, structure it with affinity diagrams and the Kano model, and translate it into a complete House of Quality. Whether you design products, lead new product development, or drive quality in automotive, electronics or medical devices, these skills help you cut rework and build what customers actually need.

If you want to move from intuition-based design to customer-driven, traceable decisions, QFD is a clear step forward. You leave able to run a House of Quality workshop, resolve design conflicts early, and connect customer requirements all the way through to production controls.

    • Turn vague customer feedback into measurable engineering targets
    • Build and interpret the House of Quality with confidence
    • Prioritise design effort on the features customers value most
    • Reduce costly design reworks and late-stage changes
    • Speak a shared language between marketing and engineering
    • Apply QFD within Design for Six Sigma and DMAIC projects
    • Strengthen your profile for design and quality roles in Hungary
    • Gain a practical skill you can use the day after training
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

QFD group training helps organisations design quality in from the start rather than inspecting it in later. Equipping cross-functional teams with the House of Quality creates a shared, structured approach to translating customer needs into specifications. For manufacturers and service providers under pressure to launch faster and reduce defects, QFD provides a scalable planning discipline that connects delivery to what customers value.

If your teams struggle to carry customer requirements cleanly from marketing into engineering and production, QFD group training gives them one common language. The result is fewer late changes, better first-time quality, and a documented link from every design choice back to a customer need.

Why Customer-Driven Design Skills Are in Demand in Hungary

Three Premium Carmakers, One Talent Pool

Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW plus BYD are ramping in Hungary at once, competing for the same design and quality talent. Professionals who can translate customer needs into engineering targets are scarce and sought-after.

QFD builds Voice-of-the-Customer to design skills

    Battery Gigafactories Scaling Fast

CATL, Samsung SDI and SK On are scaling huge battery operations that demand structured, customer-linked design and quality planning. QFD gives teams a repeatable way to set and cascade engineering targets.

    QFD supports APQP-grade design planning

Medical Device Exporters Under Design Pressure

Around 150 to 180 export-driven medical device makers must translate patient and clinician needs into safe, compliant specifications. QFD provides the traceable customer-to-design method the sector relies on.

QFD strengthens design control and VOC capture

Supplier Quality Across Electronics and EMS

Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers must prove that customer requirements flow into part and process characteristics. QFD creates the audit trail that IATF 16949 and APQP reviews increasingly expect.

    QFD builds customer-requirement traceability

Service Design in a Growing SSC Hub

With nearly 300 shared-service centres focused on continuous improvement, Hungary needs professionals who can translate customer service requirements into delivery standards and process controls.

QFD extends beyond manufacturing to services

    Closing the Strategy-To-Product Gap

Rising R&D investment means more new products, but value leaks when customer needs get lost between marketing and engineering. QFD closes that gap with a structured translation from need to specification.

QFD links customer needs to design decisions

The Practical QFD Skills You Will BuildFrom the Voice of the Customer to the House of Quality

Skills covered in QFD training run from capturing the Voice of the Customer to cascading it through the full four-phase QFD system. By the end of the one-day programme you can build, interpret and apply a House of Quality on your own products or services.

Capture the Voice of the Customer

Gather customer needs through interviews, observation, surveys and complaint analysis, then separate primary, secondary and tertiary requirements so nothing important is lost before design begins.

Structure Needs with Affinity and Kano

Organise raw customer statements using the affinity diagram, then classify them with the Kano model into must-be, performance and delighter requirements so you invest design effort where it counts.

Build the House of Quality Matrix

Construct the House of Quality room by room, from customer requirements and engineering characteristics to the relationship matrix, correlation roof, competitive benchmarking and engineering targets.

Read the House of Quality for Priorities

Calculate absolute and relative technical importance, locate design hot spots and conflicts in the roof, and turn the completed matrix into a prioritised, evidence-based engineering specification.

    Cascade QFD Through Four Phases

Carry customer requirements from product planning into parts deployment, process planning and production planning, building full traceability from a customer need to its production controls.

Apply QFD in DFSS, DMAIC and Services

Use QFD in the DMADV Measure phase and the DMAIC Define phase, and extend the method to healthcare, financial services, IT and software design where customer requirements must drive delivery.

"The corporate programme was tailored to our medical device context. Our R&D and regulatory people left able to trace patient needs through to design controls, and the trainer's real-world examples were exactly right for us."

    General

What is Quality Function Deployment (QFD) training?

QFD training is a practical, one-day programme that teaches you to translate the Voice of the Customer into design and process characteristics using the House of Quality. You learn to capture customer needs, build the matrix, resolve design conflicts, and cascade requirements through product, parts, process and production planning.

Who should attend the QFD course in Hungary?

The course suits product designers, design engineers, quality engineers, product managers, R&D and new product development professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners. It is ideal for anyone in Hungary's automotive, electronics, medical device or service sectors who translates customer requirements into specifications.

    Is QFD a recognised methodology?

Yes. QFD was developed in Japan by Yoji Akao and Shigeru Mizuno and first applied at the Kobe Shipyard. It is a standard tool in product development, automotive APQP, Design for Six Sigma and service design, and supports the customer-focus requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Do I need prior experience to take the course?

No. There are no prerequisites and the course introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles. Familiarity with product development or quality management is helpful but not required, so beginners and experienced practitioners can both benefit.

Is the QFD training worth it for my career in Hungary?

Yes. With three premium carmakers, new battery gigafactories and a large medical device export base, Hungarian employers need people who can design around the customer. QFD skills support roles from Quality Engineer to Product Manager and Quality Manager. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Pricing

How much does the QFD training cost in Hungary?

Pricing varies by delivery format, group size and schedule, so a current quote is available on request. Fees typically cover instruction across all six QFD modules, hands-on House of Quality exercises, learning materials and a course completion certificate. Request a quote for exact figures.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee usually includes live instructor-led training across the full QFD syllabus, hands-on House of Quality construction, affinity and Kano exercises, downloadable templates and case studies, learner support, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for quality, design and product teams. Onsite, live virtual and blended delivery are all available. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that best suits you or your organisation.

Is there a discount for enrolling a whole team?

Yes. Enrolling several colleagues together usually qualifies for group rates, and corporate programmes are priced by team size and delivery format. Ask about corporate and group pricing when you request your quote.

    Assessment

Is there an assessment or test for this course?

No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course, so there is no formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction, affinity and Kano exercises, and team discussion throughout the one-day programme.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning once you complete the programme. It records your attendance and the QFD skills covered; it is a completion record rather than an external credential, as QFD has no awarding body.

Is QFD training a certification course?

No. QFD is an established methodology with no formal awarding body, so the course builds practical, immediately applicable skills rather than preparing you for a credential. You leave able to build and interpret a House of Quality and apply it at work.

How will my learning be reinforced during the day?

Through hands-on practice. You structure the Voice of the Customer with an affinity diagram, classify needs with the Kano model, build a full House of Quality on a realistic scenario, calculate column importance and identify design conflicts, all with trainer guidance.

Can I apply QFD immediately after the course?

Yes. The skills are practical and require no renewal. You can facilitate Voice-of-the-Customer workshops, build House of Quality matrices, cascade QFD through parts and process planning, and use QFD within DFSS and DMAIC projects straight away.

    Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD principles and origins, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, building the House of Quality room by room, interpreting the matrix for design priorities, cascading QFD through four phases, and applying QFD in DFSS, DMAIC and service design.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, maps conflicts in the correlation roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets, all anchored to customer priorities.

Does the course cover services as well as products?

Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the training extends it to services such as healthcare, financial services and IT, and to software design. The House of Quality applies wherever customer requirements must be translated into delivery or design specifications.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one day, around eight hours, and covers all six QFD modules with hands-on House of Quality exercises throughout. It is also available in an extended half-day format across two days to suit different team schedules.

    What materials will I receive?

You receive structured course materials, House of Quality templates, worked case studies and exercises that support step-by-step learning. These help you apply QFD to your own products or services after the training.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the QFD course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete your booking, and you will receive access to the schedule, materials and joining details. Contact a learning advisor if you would like help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom sessions and customised corporate onsite delivery, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and team. See upcoming schedules to find a date that works.

    How soon can I start?

New sessions run regularly in live virtual and classroom formats, and corporate onsite dates can be arranged around your team's availability. Check the upcoming schedules or ask an advisor about the next available batch in your time zone.

    Can I reschedule my enrolment?

Yes. Selected plans let you reschedule or move to another batch if your plans change. Contact our support team to arrange this and confirm the options that apply to your booking.

Can this be delivered for my whole team onsite?

Yes. The course works especially well as onsite corporate training, since a cross-functional team can build a House of Quality on one of your own products during the exercises. Request corporate training to arrange a session for your team.
