    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension across the five change management topic areas.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide, and lasts 2.5 hours. It has five scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and the pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, and we practise this technique in class.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

Our training focuses on first-attempt readiness through mock exams and practice questions for both levels. If you need to resit, retake policies vary by provider and exam, so we will guide you through the current options. Ask a learning advisor about resit support.

Do I need Foundation before taking Practitioner?

Yes. Change Management Foundation certification is required before the Practitioner exam. The combined programme is designed to be taken sequentially, covering Foundation first and then Practitioner, so you can progress through both levels in one course.
