Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is PMI's specialist credential for people who deliver construction projects. It validates construction-specific project management skill across four domains and suits construction project managers, engineers, site managers and owner's representatives working on building, civil or infrastructure works.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is PMI's specialist credential for people who deliver construction projects. It validates construction-specific project management skill across four domains and suits construction project managers, engineers, site managers and owner's representatives working on building, civil or infrastructure works.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for construction professionals in Georgia?

Yes. With Georgia's infrastructure pipeline expanding across highways, ports and airports, employers increasingly value a globally recognised construction credential. Construction project manager roles average around GEL 125,700, and certified professionals stand out in a market with deep engineering talent but few credential holders.

    Is the PMI-CP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-CP carries global recognition through PMI's network in over 200 countries. It is particularly valued on internationally financed construction projects where clients and contractors seek globally recognised project management credentials.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply directly based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary: the PMP validates broad project management, while the PMI-CP validates construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can be applied toward renewal.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Georgia?

Training fees in Georgia are quoted in Georgian lari and vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The fee typically covers PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and application guidance. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current rates.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the four exam domains, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the PMI application, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, and annual PMI membership is about USD 139. Confirm current fees at pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for site teams, PMOs and leadership groups. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a duration of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions, delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

The current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline defines four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is by far the largest, reflecting the centrality of contracts in construction.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

How many attempts do I get for the PMI-CP exam?

You are permitted up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window that begins when your application is approved. If you do not pass first time, our practice resources and trainer support help you prepare for a retake.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your eligibility period.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMI-CP training cover?

The training covers the four exam domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance. You learn contract types and delivery methods, contract administration, claims, stakeholder engagement, scope and change control, risk, and governance, plus exam strategy.

What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules?

Before applying, you must complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total.

Does this training meet the PMI-CP education requirement?

The programme delivers 32 contact hours of instructor-led training, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires. Check with our team on whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading is credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Can a beginner in project management take this course?

The PMI-CP is an advanced, construction-specific credential, so it suits professionals with real construction experience. Anyone can attend the training to build skills, but sitting the exam requires meeting PMI's experience and education criteria. Our advisors can review your eligibility.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-CP outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide, covering the four domains and the tasks and enablers PMI tests in the exam.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

You must complete the four prerequisite modules and meet one of three sets: Set A (secondary diploma plus 60 months construction PM experience), Set B (bachelor's degree plus 36 months), or Set C (GAC-accredited degree plus 24 months). All sets need 35 contact hours of PM education and experience within the past 10 years.

How do I enrol in the PMI-CP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help selecting a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, self-paced e-learning, classroom sessions, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and site commitments in Georgia.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this before your session.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
