    What is the format of the CAPM exam?

    The CAPM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 150 questions, delivered in three hours (180 minutes). You can sit it via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. It is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The exam covers four content areas from the 2023 CAPM outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%) and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). It is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition.

    Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported across the four CAPM content areas as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

    How many attempts do I get to pass the CAPM?
