What Is Driving UK Demand for Agile Skills

Digital Skills Gap in the Public Sector

More than half of UK civil servants cite a shortage of digital and data skills. Agile-literate team members help government programmes deliver services faster and modernise at scale.

ASF builds foundational agile and Scrum knowledge

The Missing Middle in Delivery Talent

Skills England flags a shortage of Level 4 to 5 professionals. Foundation-level agile knowledge builds exactly the mid-skilled delivery capability UK employers struggle to hire.

    ASF develops mid-skilled delivery capability

    Agile Adoption Outpacing Understanding

Around 90% of UK organisations run some form of digital transformation, yet many teams adopt Scrum without shared fundamentals, creating the rework and confusion a foundation prevents.

ASF gives teams shared Scrum fundamentals

Fintech and Banking Agile at Scale

UK banks and fintechs run large cross-functional agile teams. They need members who understand Scrum roles, events and artifacts from day one, not months into the job.

ASF prepares members for cross-functional teams

    Hybrid Delivery Complexity

Nearly a third of UK organisations blend structured planning with iterative delivery. Teams need a common agile vocabulary so hybrid ways of working do not fragment into inconsistent practice.

ASF creates a common agile vocabulary

    Faster Onboarding onto Agile Teams

Employers want new joiners productive quickly. A recognised foundation credential shortens the time it takes for team members to contribute in Sprint Planning, reviews and retrospectives.
