Why France's Market Is Hungry for Certified Project Leaders

    Shortage of Certified Project Leaders

French employers across IT, aerospace and energy struggle to find project managers with a recognised credential, so PMP holders are rare and in demand for senior delivery roles.

PMP makes certified project managers stand out

    Delivering the France 2030 Programme

A 54 billion euro national plan is funding innovation and industrial programmes that need disciplined, standards-based project delivery at scale, exactly what PMP is built for.

PMP builds structured planning and governance skills

    Digital Transformation Pressure

Cloud, AI and cybersecurity investment is rising fast, and employers need managers fluent in agile and hybrid delivery, not predictive methods alone, to run these programmes.

PMP builds hybrid and agile delivery skills

    Aerospace and Defence Complexity

Major programmes at Airbus, Thales and Safran run under strict cost, schedule and regulatory constraints, demanding rigorous risk management and stakeholder alignment.

PMP builds risk and stakeholder skills

    Energy Transition Investment

Nuclear renewal and renewables push utilities into large, multi-year capital projects where portfolio-grade planning and value tracking separate strong delivery from cost overruns.

    PMP builds capital-programme delivery skills

    Hybrid Delivery Skills Gap

Many teams still work in silos of predictive or agile practice, while modern projects blend both. PMP certifies the hybrid capability French organisations increasingly require.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to move into senior roles.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals ready to move into senior roles.

Is PMP worth it in France?

Yes. PMP is recognised across French IT, aerospace, consulting, banking and energy sectors, and certified holders report around a 23% salary premium versus uncertified peers. With demand rising through France 2030 and digital transformation, the credential strengthens both pay and progression.

Which standard and edition is the PMP based on?

The PMP is built on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) from PMI. The exam covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery in roughly equal measure, reflecting how modern projects actually run.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

You need either a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months of leading projects. Both paths require 35 contact hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, reported through PMI's continuing certification requirements system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote for current pricing in France.

How much does PMP training cost in France?

PMP training pricing in France varies by format and cohort, so it is available on request. Live online, classroom and corporate options are quoted separately. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately, for reference around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members, with prices varying by region. PMI membership reduces the exam fee and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide. Verify current fees at pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and leadership groups across France. Contact us for a group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How is the PMP exam scored?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a published percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level performance feedback, so focus on broad mastery across the exam content outline.

How many attempts do I get, and where can I sit the exam?

You get up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility window from application approval. You can sit the exam online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre in France.

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. Agile and hybrid approaches make up a substantial share of the exam alongside predictive delivery. The exam, aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, expects fluency across all three ways of working.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can retake the exam within your one-year eligibility period, with up to three attempts allowed. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts, and our practice materials and trainer support help you close gaps before you resit.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMP training?

You will learn project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery, agile and hybrid frameworks, business analysis and strategic alignment, and stakeholder engagement, all mapped to the current PMP exam content outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

Anyone can attend the training, and it is designed to be followed by professionals with project exposure. To sit the PMP exam, PMI requires documented experience leading projects plus 35 contact hours, which this course provides.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the 180-question exam format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is PMI-aligned and built on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare against the exam PMI delivers today.

Will I earn contact hours and a certificate?

Yes. On completion you earn 35 contact hours that count toward your PMI exam eligibility, along with a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

How do I enrol in the PMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor.

What training formats are available in France?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

    How soon can I start?

New cohorts run regularly across live online and classroom formats. Check the upcoming schedules for the next available batch, or speak with a learning advisor to find a start date that works for you.
