    General

Is the PMI-RMP certification worth it in Barcelona?

Yes. The PMI-RMP is a globally recognised PMI credential that signals specialist project risk expertise, which Barcelona employers in construction, energy, technology and financial services actively seek. Risk manager roles in the city average around €83,000 a year, and certified risk professionals remain relatively scarce, so the credential offers strong career and earning leverage.

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential for professionals who identify, assess, respond to and monitor project risk. It suits project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and risk consultants who want to prove advanced risk competency beyond general project management.

Why choose Invensis Learning for PMI-RMP training in Barcelona?

Invensis Learning is a PMI Authorized Training Partner offering PMI-aligned courseware, experienced trainers, flexible delivery and application guidance for the PMI-RMP. You get 32 contact hours toward eligibility and a clear, supported path from learning to certification.

Is a PMP required before the PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your project risk management experience and education, though many holders carry both credentials because they complement each other well.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Barcelona?

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with 115 multiple-choice questions, taken over 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or a test centre.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

There are five domains in the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%), and Monitor and Close Risks (15%). The exam tests application and analysis, not just recall.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

You must meet one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 36 months of risk experience and 40 hours of risk education; a four-year degree with 24 months of experience and 30 hours; or a GAC-accredited degree with 12 months of experience and 30 hours. Experience must be within the last five years.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you prepare thoroughly for a first-time pass.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers the five PMI-RMP domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks. It includes qualitative and quantitative techniques and risk practice across predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

Anyone can attend the training to build risk skills and earn the 32 contact hours. To sit the exam, PMI requires documented project risk experience and education. Our trainers support learners at different levels and guide you through the eligibility requirements.

Does this training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour education requirement for degree-holding candidates (Set B and Set C). Set A candidates with a secondary diploma need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk education.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the January 2022 ECO, references to the PMI-RMP Handbook and the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, practice questions, mock exams, quizzes and downloadable templates.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-RMP outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering both predictive and agile or hybrid risk approaches.
