What Is Kanban and How This Training Helps YouUntitledA Practical Skill for Lean and Agile Teams

Kanban Training in Ecuador is a practical, non-certification skills course that teaches you to manage work using a visual, pull-based system. Kanban began in the Toyota Production System, where Taiichi Ohno used signal cards to authorise production only when downstream demand pulled it, eliminating overproduction. The same principles were later adapted for knowledge work by David J. Anderson, giving software, IT and service teams Kanban boards, WIP limits and flow metrics. This training suits production and operations managers, supply chain and logistics professionals, Lean coordinators, Scrum Masters and IT delivery managers across Ecuador. You learn both manufacturing Kanban (production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and kanban sizing) and Agile Kanban (board design, WIP limits, lead time, cycle time, throughput and the Cumulative Flow Diagram). Delivered in live virtual, classroom and corporate formats, the programme turns theory into on-the-job capability. Start building leaner, more predictable workflow with Invensis Learning.

    For Individuals

Kanban training helps you manage the flow of work, whether on a factory floor or in a software or service team. You learn to visualise work, limit work in progress and pull tasks only when there is capacity, so nothing is overproduced and bottlenecks surface quickly. Whether you run a production line, a supply chain, an IT service desk or an Agile delivery team, the skills transfer directly to your daily work in Ecuador.

By the end, you can design and run a Kanban system end to end, from mapping the workflow to setting WIP limits and improving flow with data. It is a practical capability you can put to use the very next day.

Why Ecuador's Employers Need Kanban Skills

    Working Capital Locked in Stock

Many Ecuadorian manufacturers hold excess inventory that ties up cash. Kanban pull systems replenish only on real demand, freeing working capital and reducing overproduction.

    Kanban builds pull-based inventory skills

    Push Scheduling in Manufacturing SMEs

Smaller producers still schedule to forecast, creating pileups between process steps. Kanban replaces push with pull, so upstream work is authorised only when it is withdrawn.

    Kanban builds pull production skills

    Export Competitiveness Pressure

Shrimp, banana and cacao exporters compete on cost and reliability. Leaner flow and shorter lead times help Ecuadorian producers meet demanding global buyers consistently.

    Kanban builds Lean flow skills

Scaling Agile Delivery in Banks and Telecom

Digital transformation in banking and telecom is straining delivery teams. Kanban boards, WIP limits and flow metrics help them ship software faster and more predictably.

Kanban builds board and WIP-limit skills

    Logistics and Port Throughput

Growing zones in Manta, Posorja and Guayaquil demand smoother material flow. Kanban replenishment coordinates suppliers, warehouses and production without overstocking.

Kanban builds replenishment and flow skills

    Backlogged IT Service Teams

Service desks face rising ticket queues and context switching. Visualising work and limiting WIP helps teams cut backlogs and improve response times measurably.

Skills You Will Build in This Kanban CoursePull Systems, Boards and Flow Metrics

This Kanban course gives you practical, hands-on skills for both manufacturing pull systems and Agile knowledge work. By the end, you can design, run and improve a Kanban system end to end.

    Pull vs Push Production

Explain why push scheduling causes overproduction and how Kanban pulls work only when downstream demand signals it, the core idea that makes Just-in-Time production work in practice.

    Manufacturing Kanban System Design

Design production and withdrawal kanban loops, size supermarkets, and calculate kanban quantities and the number of cards needed to run a stable, self-pacing pull system.

    Kanban Boards and WIP Limits

Build a Kanban board with columns, swimlanes and classes of service, and set WIP limits that expose bottlenecks and improve flow in software, IT and service work.

    Flow Metrics and the CFD

Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and read the Cumulative Flow Diagram to see exactly where work is accumulating.

    Scrumban and Agile Kanban

Combine Kanban with Scrum in Scrumban, run daily flow-focused stand-ups, and balance incoming demand against real team capacity for Agile delivery.

    Implementing and Sustaining Kanban

Roll out Kanban with the start-with-what-you-do-now approach, manage classes of service, and keep improving with flow data so gains hold over time.

Kanban is a visual, pull-based system for managing work. This training covers both manufacturing Kanban (production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and kanban sizing) and Agile Kanban (boards, WIP limits and flow metrics), so you can apply it on a production line or in a software team.

Is Kanban training worth it for professionals in Ecuador?

Yes. Kanban skills are in demand across Ecuador's manufacturing, export, banking and technology sectors as employers work to cut waste and deliver faster. The practical, on-the-job capability applies to production, supply chain, IT and Agile roles alike.

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with Lean or production operations helps for the manufacturing modules, but the course introduces every Kanban concept from first principles, so beginners are welcome.

    Who should attend Kanban training?

The training suits production and operations managers, manufacturing engineers, supply chain and logistics professionals, Lean coordinators, Scrum Masters, Agile coaches, and IT and delivery managers who manage the flow of work through a production or service system.

Does the course cover both manufacturing and Agile Kanban?

Yes. It covers manufacturing Kanban from the Toyota Production System (kanban cards, supermarkets and pull production) and Agile Kanban as adapted for knowledge work by David J. Anderson (Kanban boards, WIP limits, flow metrics, the CFD and Scrumban).

    Pricing

How much does Kanban training cost in Ecuador?

Pricing is available on request and varies by delivery format (live virtual, classroom or corporate) and group size. All fees are quoted in USD, the currency used in Ecuador. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on Kanban design exercises, learner support and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Contact us for the exact inclusions of your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for production teams, PMOs and IT groups. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

Are there discounts for team enrolments?

Team and multi-seat enrolments can qualify for group rates. The best value usually comes from on-site or live virtual corporate delivery for several colleagues together. Talk to a learning advisor to compare options.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Kanban training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on system design exercises, case-study examples and team discussion during the programme rather than through a formal test.

Will I receive anything on completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. It is not an external credential; it confirms you have completed practical Kanban training that you can apply immediately in manufacturing or knowledge-work environments.

How is my learning checked during the course?

Through practical exercises rather than a graded test. You calculate kanban quantities, design kanban loops, build a Kanban board, set WIP limits and interpret a Cumulative Flow Diagram, applying each concept to realistic scenarios as you go.

Does this training lead to a formal credential?

No formal credential is awarded, as Kanban has no single awarding body. The training builds practical, immediately usable skills grounded in the Toyota Production System and the recognised Kanban approach for knowledge work.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to explain push versus pull, design manufacturing kanban loops and supermarkets, calculate kanban quantities, build an Agile Kanban board with WIP limits, measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, and read a Cumulative Flow Diagram.

    Course Content

What topics does the Kanban course cover?

It covers Kanban origins and pull production, manufacturing Kanban types and mechanics, kanban system sizing and implementation, knowledge-work Kanban boards and WIP limits, flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram, and implementing and sustaining Kanban.

Do I need Lean knowledge before joining?

No. Prior Lean knowledge is helpful for the manufacturing modules but not required. The course explains pull, waste and flow from the ground up, so both Lean newcomers and experienced practitioners can follow it.

Are there hands-on exercises in the training?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout, including push-versus-pull identification, kanban quantity calculation, kanban loop design, Agile Kanban board design, WIP-limit setting and CFD interpretation, all applied to realistic manufacturing and service scenarios.

What tools are covered for Agile Kanban?

You learn Kanban board design with columns, swimlanes and classes of service, and how it is applied in digital tools such as Jira, Trello and Azure DevOps, along with WIP limits, flow metrics and the Cumulative Flow Diagram.

How long is the Kanban training?

The programme is delivered in one day (8 hours) and covers all Kanban modules with concept explanations, real-world case-study examples and hands-on design exercises. It is also available in a split half-day format across two sessions.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in Kanban training in Ecuador?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help choosing.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised on-site corporate group training, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and team.

When can I start the Kanban course?

Public sessions run on a regular schedule, and corporate batches can be arranged around your team's availability. See upcoming schedules or ask an advisor for the next available dates.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?
