    Can a beginner take the CSM course?

    Yes. The CSM has no prerequisites and is designed for beginners as well as experienced team members. The course builds your Scrum knowledge from the ground up with hands-on exercises and case studies.

    What topics are covered in the CSM training?

    The training covers six areas: Scrum theory and principles, the five Scrum values, the Scrum Team, the five Scrum events, the three Scrum artifacts, and the Scrum Master role, all aligned to the 2020 Scrum Guide.

    How long is the CSM course?

    The instructor-led CSM programme runs for 16 hours, delivered as two full days or four half-days, exceeding Scrum Alliance's minimum contact-hour requirement for the course.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive Scrum Alliance aligned courseware, industry case studies on Scrum facilitation, practice questions for the exam, and guidance on earning SEUs for renewal.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest Scrum Guide?

    Yes. The courseware follows the Scrum Alliance CSM learning objectives and the current 2020 Scrum Guide, including the Product Goal, Sprint Goal and Definition of Done commitments.

    Will I learn how to facilitate Scrum events?

    Yes. You will practise facilitating Sprint Planning, the Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Retrospective, plus retrospective formats and impediment-removal techniques you can use immediately.
