Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It recognises expertise in identifying, analysing and responding to project risks, and is designed for risk specialists, project managers, PMO professionals and consultants who focus on risk on projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It recognises expertise in identifying, analysing and responding to project risks, and is designed for risk specialists, project managers, PMO professionals and consultants who focus on risk on projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Nicosia?

Yes. Cyprus has a deep pool of project managers but few credentialed risk specialists, so the PMI-RMP helps you stand out to banks, CySEC-licensed firms and construction employers in Nicosia. It opens specialist risk roles that typically sit above the general project manager average of around €39,000.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in Cyprus?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers in Cyprus and worldwide. It is especially valued in higher-risk sectors such as banking, financial services, construction and shipping, where formal project risk management is often expected.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the two credentials complement each other well.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Nicosia?

Training fees in Nicosia depend on the format and schedule you choose, and are quoted in euros. Live online and corporate group options are available. Contact us for current pricing and upcoming batches, or request a quote from a learning advisor.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The fee typically includes 32 contact hours of instructor-led training, ECO-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on documenting your PMI application, and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in US dollars under regional pricing (around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, for reference). Membership can reduce the exam cost, so confirm the current figures on pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing in Cyprus?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and business units in Cyprus. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam the first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to build readiness so you can approach the exam with confidence.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains?

The exam covers five domains from the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline (effective January 2022): Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Your result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through the Pearson VUE website or the PMI portal within your eligibility period.

Which standard is the PMI-RMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and aligns to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide, covering predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this PMI-RMP training?

Anyone can attend the training to build risk skills and earn contact hours. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and risk education under Set A, B or C, so the credential itself suits professionals with some risk experience.

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks. You practise tools such as SWOT, the probability and impact matrix, Monte Carlo simulation and response planning.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the current ECO, plus topic-wise quizzes, to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 115-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the current PMI-RMP ECO?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and reflects the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide.

Does this training meet the risk education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours, which fully meets the 30-hour risk education requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC-accredited degree) candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.
