    What is the format of the DevOps Master exam?

    The EXIN DevOps Master exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the current EXIN DevOps Master examination specification. It can be taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and lasts 90 minutes (1.5 hours). It is closed book, with single-answer multiple-choice questions distributed across the six EXIN DevOps Master topic areas.

    What is the passing score for DevOps Master?

    The passing score is 65%, so you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. We recommend broad mastery across all six topic areas rather than focusing on any single one.

    Do I need DevOps Foundation before DevOps Master?

    EXIN DevOps Foundation is the recommended prerequisite. There is no formal education or work-experience requirement on the official EXIN page, but practical DevOps experience helps, since the exam tests application and analysis, not just recall.

    What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

    You will learn to implement continuous delivery, design a DevOps architecture, improve product and process, apply Lean management and monitoring, lead cultural change and assess DevOps maturity, the six topic areas of the EXIN DevOps Master examination specification.

    Which topic areas does the syllabus cover?

    Six areas: Implementing Continuous Delivery (about 20%), Designing a DevOps Architecture (about 17%), Improving Product and Process (about 17%), Using Lean Management and Monitoring (about 17%), Implementing Cultural Change (about 17%) and Assessing Maturity (about 12%).

    Does the course cover DORA metrics and CI/CD?

    Yes. You cover the four DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate and mean time to restore) plus CI/CD pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code and deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary.

    Are practice tests and materials provided?

    Yes. The programme includes EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before your attempt.
