What do I receive on completing the training?

You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. The skills you build are immediately applicable to CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure automation and containerised deployment on Azure.

How is learning assessed during the course?

Learning is assessed informally through practical, instructor-guided exercises. You configure repositories, pipelines, infrastructure templates and monitoring dashboards as you go, applying each Azure DevOps service in a realistic scenario.

Is the course hands-on?

Yes. The training is highly hands-on. You work in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI alongside the trainer, building pipelines, deploying containers and setting up monitoring rather than only reviewing slides.

Do I need an Azure account before attending?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation, available on a free tier at dev.azure.com. Confirm with us whether a shared training environment is provided for your session.

What topics does the Azure DevOps training cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

Which Azure tools and services are included?

You work with the five Azure DevOps services: Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts and Azure Test Plans, plus ARM templates, Bicep, Azure Container Registry, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

Does the course cover containers and Kubernetes?

Yes. You learn to build Docker images, store them in Azure Container Registry, and deploy containerised applications to Azure Kubernetes Service using Helm and Azure Pipelines, including image promotion and rollout strategies.

Does it cover infrastructure as code?

Yes. The training covers infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep, including template structure, deployment modes and modules, and how to deploy infrastructure directly from an Azure pipeline for repeatable environments.
