    What is the format of the CSM exam?

    The CSM exam is an open-book, online, multiple-choice test taken through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete an approved course. No proctor is required, and it is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives.

    How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

    The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and a 60-minute (one hour) time limit. It is open book, so you may refer to materials during the exam.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    You need 74% to pass, which is at least 37 correct out of 50 questions. Focus on broad understanding across all six CSM topic areas rather than any single area.

    What if I do not pass the CSM exam first time?

    You have up to three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing your course, so a first-attempt miss is not a setback. Our practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    How soon can I take the exam after the course?

    Once you complete the approved CSM course, the online exam unlocks in your Scrum Alliance member account and you have 90 days to sit it. Because it is open book and online, you can take it at a time that suits you.

    What will I learn in the CSM course?

    You will learn the Scrum framework and empiricism, the five Scrum values, the Scrum Team roles, all five Scrum events, the three artifacts and their commitments, and the Scrum Master role as a servant leader, mapped to the six Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives.

    How long is the CSM training programme?
