What Is the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Credential?UntitledYour Entry Point into Process Improvement

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSSYB) is an entry-level, globally recognised certification that validates foundational knowledge of the DMAIC improvement method across its five phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. Awarded through the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC), now part of PeopleCert, it proves you can support improvement teams, reduce waste and contribute to quality projects from day one. In Zurich, where banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and precision manufacturing compete on efficiency and regulatory rigour, a Yellow Belt signals that you can speak the language of operational excellence. The credential suits front-line employees, team members, analysts and managers who want a credible first step before progressing to Green Belt. You sit a 60-question, two-hour closed-book exam and need 230 of 300 points to pass, with no prior experience required. Start your Lean Six Sigma journey with Invensis Learning and build skills that employers across Switzerland value.

Invensis Learning is an accredited IASSC (Peoplecert) training partner in Zurich (2778), approved to deliver official LSSYB training using IASSC-aligned courseware.

    General

What is the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is an entry-level certification that validates foundational knowledge of the DMAIC improvement method and basic Lean tools. Awarded by IASSC, now part of PeopleCert, it shows you can support improvement teams and contribute to quality projects.

Is the Yellow Belt worth it for professionals in Zurich?

    Who should take this certification?

It suits front-line employees, team members, analysts and managers who are new to process improvement, as well as anyone planning to progress to Green or Black Belt. No prior experience is required.

Do I need prerequisites to enrol?

How long is the certification valid?

The IASSC Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is valid for three years. You maintain current status by passing the recertification exam before your certification elapses.
