Skills You Will Build in This ProgrammeThe Five PMI-RMP Domains in Practice

Skills covered in the PMI-RMP training span all five risk domains, from setting risk strategy to closing risks at project end. By the end you can run a full, PMI-aligned risk process on predictive, agile and hybrid projects and enter the exam with confidence.

    Set Risk Strategy and Governance

Skills covered in the PMI-RMP training start with the first domain: establish the risk approach, roles, thresholds and risk management plan, and tailor it to predictive, agile or hybrid delivery so risk work is planned from day one.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Run structured identification using brainstorming, Delphi, SWOT, assumption and constraint analysis and prompt lists, then document clear, cause-risk-effect entries in a complete, validated risk register.

    Analyse Risk, Qualitative and Quantitative

Prioritise risks with probability-impact matrices, then apply Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis, expected monetary value and sensitivity analysis to quantify the effect of risk on cost and schedule.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Select strategies for threats (avoid, transfer, mitigate, accept) and opportunities (exploit, share, enhance, accept), assign owners, and build contingency and fallback plans with the right reserves.

    Monitor and Close Risks

Track triggers and residual and secondary risks, run periodic risk reviews, report on exposure to stakeholders, and formally close risks with lessons learned captured for future projects.

Prepare for the Exam and Application

Practise against the 115-question, 2.5-hour format across all five domains, and get guidance on documenting your risk experience and education hours for the PMI application.
