What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

The PMI-ACP exam is a closed-book, computer-based test of 120 multiple-choice questions, aligned to the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018. Questions are spread across seven agile domains and delivered online or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of three hours. It is closed book and proctored, either online through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience in the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience in the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general experience requirement.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.
