Industry Challenges Driving AgilePM Demand in the Bahamas

    Agility Without Governance

Many Bahamian teams have adopted agile ways of working but lack a governance layer, leaving regulated banking and public sector projects hard to control and audit. AgilePM closes that exact gap.

AgilePM adds structure to agile delivery

    Digital Transformation Pressure

The government plans 200 online services over five years while banks pursue fintech modernisation, creating heavy demand for professionals who can deliver complex change iteratively and on time.

AgilePM builds lifecycle and delivery skills

    Scarce Certified Project Talent

The Bahamas has a broad pool of project practitioners but few hold a recognised agile project management credential, making AgilePM holders rare and sought-after by employers.

AgilePM makes certified leaders stand out

    Missed Deadlines and Scope Creep

Projects that flex time and cost instead of scope routinely overrun. AgilePM fixes time and cost and flexes scope through MoSCoW and timeboxing, protecting delivery dates that matter.

AgilePM builds MoSCoW and timeboxing skill

    Regulated Delivery in Finance

As the Caribbean's leading banking jurisdiction, the Bahamas needs iterative delivery that still satisfies audit and compliance. AgilePM's roles, products and controls make agile work defensible.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a structured agile project management certification based on DSDM, owned by the Agile Business Consortium. It teaches eight principles, a defined lifecycle, roles, MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing, so you can deliver agile projects with real governance and control.

    General

What is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a structured agile project management certification based on DSDM, owned by the Agile Business Consortium. It teaches eight principles, a defined lifecycle, roles, MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing, so you can deliver agile projects with real governance and control.

Is AgilePM certification worth it for professionals in the Bahamas?

Yes. As Bahamian banking, government and tourism modernise, employers increasingly want professionals who can run iterative projects with control. IT project management roles average around B$75,594 a year, and certified agile project leaders remain scarce in the local market.

Who should take this AgilePM course?

The course suits project managers, PRINCE2 holders adding agile skills, business analysts, testers, team leaders and anyone delivering agile projects. Foundation has no prerequisites, so it welcomes newcomers, while Practitioner develops the ability to apply the framework in real scenarios.

Which standard is the AgilePM certification based on?

The certification is based on the AgilePM framework, aligned to the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook published by the Agile Business Consortium. The framework is built on DSDM and covers the eight principles, the lifecycle, defined roles, MoSCoW and timeboxing.

    Is AgilePM recognised internationally?

Yes. AgilePM is recognised in over 150 countries and is especially strong in markets that require structured project governance alongside agile delivery. That makes the credential portable across sectors and borders, including the Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

    Pricing

What is included in the AgilePM course fee?

The fee typically includes AgilePM-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus learner support and a course completion certificate. Speak with a learning advisor to confirm the inclusions in your chosen package.

How much does AgilePM training cost in the Bahamas?

Pricing varies by delivery format and package, so exact fees are available on request. AgilePM is usually purchased as a combined training and dual-exam package. Request a quote for current pricing in your preferred format.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Many combined AgilePM packages bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, but this should be confirmed before you enrol. Ask a learning advisor to confirm what your package covers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for AgilePM training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for delivery teams, PMOs and business units. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

What payment methods and options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It has no formal prerequisites and is usually taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the AgilePM Handbook. It has four scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over two hours. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 30 out of 60 marks.

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam, and you must pass both to hold both credentials. Both can be taken via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What are the prerequisites for the AgilePM exams?

The Foundation exam has no prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the AgilePM Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent, since it tests your ability to apply the framework in project scenarios.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our trainers provide mock papers, scenario practice and handbook navigation techniques to build your readiness for both levels. Confirm the re-sit policy and any voucher terms with your learning advisor.

    Course Content

What topics does the AgilePM training cover?

The training covers the AgilePM philosophy and eight principles, the six-phase lifecycle and products, the business, technical and management roles, requirements and MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing, and planning, control and risk, at both Foundation and Practitioner level.

Can a beginner take this AgilePM course?

Yes. AgilePM Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from awareness of the framework to Practitioner-level application, with case studies and support to help newcomers keep pace throughout.

What learning resources and materials are provided?
