PMI-CP builds contract and claims management skills

    Mega-Project Delivery Risk

PMI-CP builds scope and schedule control skills

    Scarce Certified Leadership

Bahrain's talent pool is deep in engineers but thin in globally certified construction project managers. The PMI-CP's rigorous eligibility makes holders rare and sought-after.

    Capital and Value Discipline

A USD 30 billion pipeline under Economic Vision 2030 raises scrutiny on capital efficiency, pushing organisations to control change, curb leakage and assure value on every project.

    Technology and Green Mandates

Green-building rules, modular construction and digital-twin pilots are reshaping delivery in Bahrain, demanding project leaders who can manage new methods and complex stakeholder expectations.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry, validating your ability to apply project management skills across contracts, stakeholders, scope and governance. It is designed for construction project managers, contracts managers, site leaders moving into project management, and owner's representatives.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is PMI's specialist credential for the construction industry, validating your ability to apply project management skills across contracts, stakeholders, scope and governance. It is designed for construction project managers, contracts managers, site leaders moving into project management, and owner's representatives.

Why should I choose Invensis Learning for PMI-CP training in Bahrain?

Invensis Learning is a PMI Authorized Training Partner offering PMI-aligned courseware, experienced trainers, flexible delivery and guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the application. As an ISO-certified provider, we help you move from experienced practitioner to certified construction leader with a clear, supported path.

Is the PMI-CP recognised in Bahrain?

Yes. As a PMI credential recognised in over 200 countries, the PMI-CP is valued by contractors, developers and consultancies across Bahrain and the wider Gulf, particularly on major infrastructure, housing and energy projects where global standards matter.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, with the PMP covering general project management and the PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can be applied toward renewal.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Bahrain?

PMI-CP training fees vary by format and delivery, and are available on request. Instructor-led and corporate options are quoted separately from the PMI exam fee. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share pricing that suits your goals.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions and mock exams, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the application, and learner support with a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, with lower rates for PMI members than non-members. Verify current fees on the PMI website before applying, as PMI periodically updates pricing.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for PMI-CP training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and contractor organisations in Bahrain. Contact us for a tailored quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that works best for you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current PMBOK Guide. It covers four domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance.

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Questions include single-answer and multiple-answer formats, and the exam is closed book.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains: Contracts Management at 50%, Stakeholder Engagement at 30%, Strategy and Scope Management at 15%, and Project Governance at 5%. Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting the central role of contracts in construction.

What are the prerequisites and how do I apply?

You must complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules and meet one of three experience and education sets, based on your qualification and construction project management experience within the past 10 years, plus 35 contact hours of project management education. You then apply through PMI and schedule via Pearson VUE.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our practice questions and mock exams are designed to build your readiness before you sit the exam.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMI-CP training cover?

The training covers the four PMI-CP domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%), plus variations and claims, exam strategy and guidance on the prerequisite modules.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

The PMI-CP is an advanced, construction-specific credential, so it suits professionals with construction project management experience. Anyone can attend the training to build skills, but sitting the exam requires meeting PMI's experience, education and module prerequisites.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the ECO and the 120-question format, plus topic-wise checks that help you identify weak areas and build exam confidence.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-CP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current PMBOK Guide, so you study the domains and tasks exactly as the exam assesses them.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned. This is separate from the PMI-CP credential, which you earn by passing the PMI exam.
