Belgium's Process Pressures That Make BPM Valuable

    Mandatory E-Invoicing Rollout

B2B e-invoicing via Peppol became mandatory in Belgium in January 2026, pushing firms to redesign invoicing and finance processes end to end, exactly the work BPM is built for.

BPM builds process modelling and redesign skills

    Fast AI Adoption, Weak Governance

Belgian firms are among Europe's quickest AI adopters, yet few have formal governance, leaving automated processes undocumented and hard to control without a BPM discipline.

    BPM builds process governance skills

    Port and Logistics Complexity

Port of Antwerp-Bruges and a dense logistics network run high-volume, cross-party processes that need BPMN-grade modelling, risk aggregation and coordination at scale.

BPM builds coordination and analysis skills

Regulatory Load in Banking and Insurance

Belgium's large financial-services sector must standardise and evidence processes for compliance, the process consistency and auditability that BPM governance delivers.

BPM builds standardisation and control skills

Legacy Process Debt in Public Bodies

Government and EU institutions in Brussels are modernising citizen-facing and back-office processes, needing structured as-is and to-be redesign rather than ad hoc fixes.

    BPM builds structured redesign skills

    Automation Bought Before Understanding

Many firms buy RPA and workflow tools before mapping their processes. Practitioners who model and fix the process first, then automate what fits, are increasingly sought after.

BPM makes process-first practitioners stand out

Skills You Will Build in This BPM CourseA Practical Process Toolkit

In the Business Process Management training you will learn to model, analyse, redesign, measure and govern the processes that run an organisation. By the end, you can turn an undocumented workflow into a clear BPMN 2.0 model and a costed improvement plan.

    Model Processes with BPMN 2.0

Draw clear swimlane diagrams using events, activities, gateways and flows, turning a prose description of how work happens into a stakeholder-ready, precise process model.

    Run the Full BPM Lifecycle

Move a process through the six-phase lifecycle: identify, model, analyse, design, implement, and monitor and optimise, so improvement becomes an ongoing loop rather than a one-off exercise.

    Analyse Processes to Find Waste

Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques, value-added analysis, 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams to expose delays, rework and bottlenecks and build the case for change.

    Redesign Workflows for Results

Use simplification, standardisation, automation, error-proofing and parallelisation to redesign a process, then compare as-is and to-be models to quantify the improvement.

    Measure Performance with KPIs

Define and track lead time, cycle time, process efficiency and first-pass yield, set up dashboards, and report performance that leadership and customers can trust.

    Govern and Automate Processes

Establish process ownership and governance, and understand how BPMS, workflow tools and RPA support execution so you know when and what to automate.

    What Our Learners Say

    Untitled

Finally Able to Prove Where the Waste Is

"I came in able to sense where our order process was breaking, but not prove it. After the training I mapped it in BPMN, showed the team exactly where the delays sat, and we cut two full handoffs. The modelling exercises made it stick."

A Shared Language Across the Team

"As a process owner I needed a shared language with IT and operations. The BPM lifecycle and swimlane modelling gave us exactly that. We now document as-is and to-be properly before any automation, which has saved us from a few costly tool decisions."

    Thomas De Vos

Practical Metrics I Use Every Week

"The section on process KPIs and root cause analysis was the most useful for me. I now track cycle time and first-pass yield on our claims process and can show leadership real improvement rather than opinions. Practical and well paced."

Aligned Our Team Before a Big Project

"We ran the corporate session for a cross-functional group ahead of an e-invoicing project. Having everyone model our finance process together, in one method, aligned the team fast. The trainer used relevant examples from our sector throughout."

    Pricing

How much does BPM training cost in Belgium?

Pricing is available on request and depends on the delivery format, whether individual or corporate, and group size. Fees are quoted in euros. Contact us for a tailored quote or to see upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six BPM modules, hands-on BPMN modelling and analysis exercises, downloadable process templates and job aids, post-training support, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, departments and business units. It is often the most cost-effective way to upskill several people at once. Ask us about corporate pricing.

Is the training fee quoted in euros?

Yes. For learners and organisations in Belgium the training is quoted in euros. The exact figure depends on your chosen format and group size and is available on request.

Are payment or instalment options available?

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

How is learning assessed in the BPM course?

There is no formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN modelling exercises, process analysis and redesign workshops, and group discussion during the one-day programme, so you apply each technique as you learn it.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. This recognises attendance and participation; it is a skills course, not an externally awarded credential.

Will I practise on real process examples?

Yes. Throughout the day you model processes in BPMN from verbal descriptions, run analysis to identify waste, and apply redesign principles. In corporate sessions, teams can model their own real processes for immediate value.

What will I be able to do after completing the course?

You will be able to map and document processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles, define process KPIs, establish process ownership, and plan the implementation of an improved process.

Do the skills expire or need renewal?

No. The BPM skills you gain are immediately applicable and do not expire, and there is no renewal to maintain. Because processes evolve, many practitioners keep refreshing their approach as tools and standards develop.

    Course Content

What topics does the BPM syllabus cover?

The course covers six modules: introduction to BPM, the BPM lifecycle, process modelling with BPMN 2.0, process analysis and performance measurement, process design, redesign and governance, and BPM technology, automation and continuous improvement.

What is the BPM lifecycle taught in the course?

You learn the six-phase lifecycle: identify the processes that matter, model them in BPMN, analyse performance and waste, design the target state, implement the change, and monitor and optimise performance as an ongoing loop.

Does the course cover BPMN 2.0 modelling in detail?

Yes. You work with core BPMN elements including events, activities, gateways, sequence and message flows, pools and swimlanes, and practise building as-is and to-be process models from verbal descriptions.

Does it cover automation, BPMS and RPA?

Yes, at a practical level. You learn how Business Process Management Systems and RPA support process execution, how BPMN models act as the design specification, and how to identify which tasks are suitable to automate.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware for all six modules, process modelling and analysis exercises, downloadable templates and job aids, and reference material on BPMN and the BPM lifecycle to support you back at work.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the BPM course in Belgium?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, whether you take the BPM course online or attend in person, complete your booking, and you will receive access to schedules and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?

The course is available as online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom training, corporate onsite delivery, and customised group training, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and team.

How long is the BPM training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours) and covers all six modules with modelling and analysis exercises throughout. It can also be delivered as two extended half-days totalling the same 8 hours where that suits a team better.

Can I train my whole team together?

Yes. Corporate group training lets a cross-functional team learn one shared method and model your own real processes during the session. This is especially effective ahead of automation or e-invoicing projects. Ask us for a group quote.

Can I reschedule my booking to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch where available. Contact our support team and we will help you arrange a date that works for you.
