    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 40 questions. It is delivered online with proctoring or at an EXIN test location, and tests Scrum Master competencies across five topic areas.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 90 minutes. Questions are drawn from the five EXIN topic areas covering the Scrum Master role.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. Focus on broad mastery across all five EXIN topic areas rather than any single section.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    What if I do not pass the exam first time?

    You can resit the EXIN ASM exam by registering for another attempt. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams to build your readiness and reduce the chance of needing a resit.

    How and where do I take the exam?

    You can sit the EXIN ASM exam online with remote proctoring or at an EXIN accredited test location. Your training provider helps you register and schedule it.

    What will I learn in the Agile Scrum Master course?

    You will learn to facilitate Scrum events, coach the team and Product Owner, remove impediments, estimate and plan with agile techniques, and support agile adoption. The syllabus maps to the five EXIN ASM topic areas.

    How long is the ASM training?

    The Agile Scrum Master training runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two days or as four half-day sessions, giving you focused exam preparation and practical Scrum Master skills.

    No formal experience is required. EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge helps, and the course revisits Scrum basics before building Scrum Master role skills, so motivated beginners can follow comfortably.
