    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined credential in PRINCE2, a structured project management method covering seven principles, a People capability, seven practices and seven processes. The current edition is PRINCE2 7 (2023), published by PeopleCert with AXELOS. Foundation validates method knowledge and Practitioner validates applying and tailoring it.

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it for professionals in Vienna?

Yes. PRINCE2 is widely recognised across Vienna's banking, IT, consulting and public-sector employers, where project managers average around €70,500 and senior roles reach €100,000. As a proven, portable method, it strengthens your standing for governed project roles.

Who should take this PRINCE2 combined course?

The course suits aspiring and practising project managers, project coordinators and team members who work in or want to move into PRINCE2 project environments. Foundation is open to all, so beginners and experienced professionals alike can benefit from the combined pathway.

    Is PRINCE2 recognised internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised globally, with particular strength across Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Commonwealth markets. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries, and more than one million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued worldwide.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes PeopleCert-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, tutor support and a course completion certificate. Exam vouchers may be bundled depending on the package. Request a quote to see exactly what your chosen format includes.

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Vienna?

Pricing varies by format, schedule and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so course fees are available on request. Both PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and vary by region. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

It depends on the package. Some options bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others cover training only, with PeopleCert exam fees paid separately. Confirm your inclusions when you request a quote.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project offices, delivery teams and departments. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 exams?

The Foundation exam has 60 questions in 60 minutes, is closed book, and requires 60% (36 of 60) to pass. The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks over 150 minutes, is open book, and also requires 60% (42 of 70) to pass.

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

Two separate PeopleCert exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. In the four-day format, Foundation is usually taken first, followed by Practitioner.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects (7th Edition) manual is permitted during the Practitioner exam. You can refer to it, but the scenario questions test analysis and judgment, so time management matters more than simple look-up.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam, and our preparation includes mock exams and tutor support to help you pass. Selected plans include retake support. Confirm the current PeopleCert re-sit policy and any bundled retake option when you enrol.

Which edition are the PRINCE2 exams based on?

Both exams are based on the PRINCE2 7 syllabus, aligned to the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition (2023) from PeopleCert. The courseware and practice materials follow this current edition.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so the combined course is open to beginners. The programme builds from method fundamentals up to Practitioner-level application, with trainer support throughout.

What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes from Starting Up a Project to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam strategy.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PeopleCert-aligned courseware, references to the PRINCE2 7 syllabus, practice questions, full-length mock exams and revision aids such as quizzes and summaries to support both Foundation and Practitioner preparation.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabus documents.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate. On passing each PeopleCert exam, you also earn the official PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner digital certificates and badges.

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?

What are the prerequisites to enrol?

There are no prerequisites to enrol in the training. PRINCE2 Foundation is open to all, and the Practitioner exam requires Foundation (or an accepted equivalent), which the combined course prepares you for in sequence.
