    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination delivered online with proctoring or at an accredited test location. It covers the five EXIN topic areas, from the agile way of thinking to adopting agile.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The EXIN ASM exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you have 90 minutes to complete it. The pass mark is 65 percent, which is 26 of 40 questions correct.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65 percent to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. The training and mock exams are built to get you comfortably above that threshold.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five EXIN topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    What if I do not pass the ASM exam first time?

    What will I learn in the ASM training?

    You will learn to facilitate Scrum events, apply servant leadership, coach teams, manage the Product Backlog, estimate and track work, handle complex projects and support agile adoption, mapped to the five EXIN topic areas.

    Can a beginner take this course or do I need experience?

    The course is suitable if you have foundational Scrum knowledge, which EXIN recommends as the entry point. Beginners are supported with structured courseware, hands-on practice and trainer guidance, so prior Scrum Master experience is not required.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 40-question EXIN format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real thing.

    How long is the ASM training programme?

    The Agile Scrum Master training is a 16-hour programme, typically delivered over two full days or across several half-day sessions. The format is built for exam preparation and practical Scrum Master skill-building.
