    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. Questions include single-answer and multiple-answer formats across the five risk domains.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

    There are five domains per the ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery of all five domains.

    What happens if I do not pass, can I retake the exam?
