    The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, taken over 40 minutes in a closed-book format. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation training.

    What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, taken over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep understanding of the models are both essential.

    Are there prerequisites for the exams?

    There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation exam, so it is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires you to hold the Change Management Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme prepares you for both, taken in sequence.
