What Is Kanban and What Will You Learn?UntitledA Practical Skills Overview

Kanban Training in Armenia is a practical, non-certification skills course that teaches you how to manage work with a visual, pull-based system that limits overproduction and improves flow. Kanban began in the Toyota Production System, where Taiichi Ohno designed it in the 1950s as a signal-driven way to trigger production only when real downstream demand appears, making Just-in-Time (JIT) production work on the factory floor. The training covers both sides of Kanban. You learn the manufacturing system, including production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and kanban sizing, and the knowledge-work framework that David J. Anderson formalised for software, IT and service teams: Kanban boards, work-in-progress (WIP) limits, and flow metrics such as lead time, cycle time and throughput. It suits operations managers, engineers, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, IT and delivery managers, and anyone in Armenia who wants to make work visible and flow faster. Delivered live online, in the classroom or on-site for teams, it turns Kanban theory into skills you can apply the next working day.

Why Kanban Skills Are in Demand Across Armenia

    Delivery Predictability Gap

Armenia's software and outsourcing teams win global clients on reliability, yet many struggle to forecast delivery. Kanban flow metrics and WIP limits make lead times predictable.

Kanban builds flow-metric and WIP skills

    Overloaded, Multitasking Teams

Rapid IT growth stretches teams thin, and constant context-switching wastes capacity. Kanban limits work in progress so teams stop starting and start finishing.

Kanban builds focus and finishing discipline

    Hidden Bottlenecks at Scale

As studios and service desks scale in Yerevan, work stalls in invisible queues. Kanban boards and cumulative flow diagrams expose bottlenecks before they hurt delivery.

    Before

Delivery dates that are guesses and often slip

    Now you have

Flow metrics that make lead times predictable and defensible

    Before

Bottlenecks that surface only after they hurt delivery

    Now you have

A cumulative flow diagram that exposes blockers early

The Kanban Skills You Will BuildBoards, WIP Limits and Flow Metrics

This Kanban training turns concepts into skills you can apply immediately. By the end, you can design boards, set WIP limits, size pull systems, measure flow and plan a Kanban rollout in a manufacturing or knowledge-work setting.

Design a Kanban Board That Works

Skills covered in this Kanban course start with visualising your workflow: you will design boards with clear columns, swimlanes and a Definition of Done, so an entire team can see every work item and its status at a glance.

    Set and Manage WIP Limits

Learn why work-in-progress limits are the heart of Kanban and how to set them per stage. You will use WIP limits to stop overloading, expose bottlenecks and shift the team from starting work to finishing it.

    Run Pull-Based Manufacturing Kanban

Understand production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and two-bin systems. You will size kanban quantities and loops using demand, lead time and safety factors to implement Just-in-Time pull production.

    Measure and Improve Flow

Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, and apply Little's Law to see how limiting WIP shortens delivery. You will read a cumulative flow diagram to spot where work is piling up and act on the data.

    Apply Scrumban and Agile Kanban

See how Kanban works as an Agile framework for software, IT and service teams, and how Scrumban blends Kanban flow with Scrum cadence. You will manage classes of service and expedite work without breaking flow.

Plan and Sustain a Kanban Rollout

Use the start-with-what-you-do-now approach to introduce Kanban with low risk. You will plan a rollout for manufacturing or knowledge work and keep WIP discipline so improvement continues after go-live.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Kanban is a visual, pull-based system for managing the flow of work, using signals and boards to limit overproduction and improve delivery. This training covers both manufacturing Kanban (kanban cards, supermarkets, Just-in-Time pull) and Agile Kanban (boards, WIP limits, flow metrics) in a single one-day programme.

    General

What is Kanban and what does this training cover?

Kanban is a visual, pull-based system for managing the flow of work, using signals and boards to limit overproduction and improve delivery. This training covers both manufacturing Kanban (kanban cards, supermarkets, Just-in-Time pull) and Agile Kanban (boards, WIP limits, flow metrics) in a single one-day programme.

Is Kanban training worth it for professionals in Armenia?

Yes. As Agile and Scrum become standard across Armenia's IT, software and operations teams, professionals who can design Kanban boards, limit work in progress and manage flow are in growing demand. The skills apply the next working day in both production and knowledge work.

Do I need any prior experience to take Kanban training?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with Lean or production helps for the manufacturing modules, but the course introduces every Kanban concept from first principles, so beginners and experienced practitioners both benefit.

Who should attend this Kanban course?

The training suits operations and production managers, engineers, supply chain professionals, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, IT and software delivery managers, and project managers in Armenia who manage the flow of work and want to improve it.

What is the difference between Kanban and Scrum?

Scrum organises work into fixed-length sprints with set roles, while Kanban manages a continuous flow of work using a visual board and WIP limits with no fixed iterations. Many teams combine the two as Scrumban, which this training covers.

Does the course cover both manufacturing and Agile Kanban?

Yes. It covers manufacturing Kanban from the Toyota Production System (production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets, sizing, Just-in-Time) and knowledge-work Kanban formalised by David J. Anderson (boards, WIP limits, flow metrics and Scrumban).

    Pricing

How much does Kanban training cost in Armenia?

Kanban training fees vary by delivery format, group size and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Live online, classroom and corporate on-site options are all available. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share the current pricing for your chosen format.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions across all six Kanban modules, hands-on design exercises, learning materials and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Contact us for the exact inclusions for your selected option.

Do you offer discounts for group or corporate training?

Yes. We offer tailored corporate group pricing for teams and departments, with schedules built around your availability. Ask about group and corporate rates for a customised quote for your team in Armenia.

Are there instalment or flexible payment options?

Payment options vary by region and enrolment type. Speak with a learning advisor about the methods and any instalment options available for your booking.

Is there any extra certification or exam fee?

No. Kanban training is a non-certification course, so there is no exam or awarding-body fee. You pay only the training fee, and you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning on finishing the programme.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for the Kanban training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Kanban design exercises, real-world case studies and team discussion during the programme.

Do I get a certificate after the Kanban training?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. No external credential is awarded, as this is a practical skills course rather than a certification.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply Kanban concepts through practical exercises such as kanban quantity calculation, loop design, board design and WIP limit setting, so you build confidence by doing.

Will I be able to apply Kanban straight after the course?

Yes. The training is built around your own realistic scenarios, so you leave with board designs, WIP rules and flow metrics you can put to work immediately in manufacturing or knowledge-work settings.

Is this course recognised by employers in Armenia?

Kanban is a widely used method across Armenia's IT, software and operations sectors, and the practical skills you gain are directly valued by employers. Invensis Learning is an ISO 9001:2015 certified training provider trusted across 100+ countries.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the Kanban training?

The course covers Kanban origins and pull production, manufacturing Kanban types and mechanics, kanban system sizing, knowledge-work Kanban boards and WIP limits, flow metrics and the cumulative flow diagram, and implementing and sustaining Kanban.

What will I learn about Kanban boards and WIP limits?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six Kanban modules with hands-on design exercises throughout. It can also be delivered as two half-day sessions.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. You practise push versus pull identification, kanban quantity calculation, loop design for a manufacturing scenario, Agile board design for a software or IT scenario, WIP limit setting and cumulative flow diagram interpretation.

    Does the course cover Scrumban?

Yes. The training shows how Kanban and Scrum combine as Scrumban, using Scrum cadence with Kanban visual flow and WIP limits, which suits teams moving from iteration-based to flow-based working.
